As a parent I find this school to be excellent in preparing a student for a real college experience. The life lessons learned as well as the academics are well worth it!

Awesome school. The teachers and staff excel in what they do, in and out of school. Sometimes they will even give out their own home and/or cell phone numbers to students who need help.

Mount Michael Benedictine is one of the finest High Schools in the midwest. Almost 100% of its graduates attend 4 year colleges and many loaded with scholarships to some of the finest universities. The monks and the lay faculty are skilled, caring, and ready to give individual instruction if needed. 2003 ACT average was over 28 and 2004 was just a little lower. Recent grands went to Rice, Notre Dame, United States Air Force Academy, United States Military Academy, Princeton, Yale, Creighton, University of St. Louis, Washington University, etc. This is a place for good students to become educated gentlemen. They will leave with a sense of direction and accomplishment.

Most people don't know about this school or discount it as an option because it is mostly a boarding school, but it is one of the best in the ountry consistantly turns out the highest ACT scores in the area, and probably in the whole mid-western section of the US.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
