Elmwood-Murdock offers a quality well rounded education. The elementary teachers go above and beyond for their students. The junior high and high school offer many opportunities for students to excel. The high school has strengths of business, (very successful FBLA program-nationally recognized) English, Vocal music, and band, with a variety of top notch sports teams. The only downfalls are there is no National Honor Society and the drama/speech could be better.
This school has great teachers that actually care about the development of the students. It's true that the community is small but the district works the best it can with what it is provided. The school especially excels in business and english education. As a former student, I have developed a greater appreciation for the school after comparing my knowledge and social preparation to that of students from other schools.
This school has very small town mentality. It has few extracurricular activities and even fewer academic electives. The staff would just rather tell you 'no' instead of workin with you to solve a problem or conflict about anything.
