My daughter has received an excellent education in the few years she has attended Mt Calvary. I searched many Lutheran Schools in the area and this one was by far the best choice. The school and church staff are extremely knowledgeable and caring. The smaller class sizes really help the children get more one on one attention than they would in a public school. This is an awesome choice if you are looking for a quality education for your child.

While this school once had a long history of excellence, recent problems with violent, disrespectful children have reduced the quality of the experience. Poor school leadership from an unprofessional school board has caused serious problems, to the extent of wholesale firing of teachers, proving further that the school is headed in the wrong direction. It would be best to look around for other educational opportunities for your children.

Mount Calvary has been an excellent place for my children. My first son is doing great in High School. His faith in Christ still shines out as an example for the other students at the public high school. My youngest son is continuing to grow and learn at Mount Calvary. He enjoys the caring and supportive environment of the staff and fellow students. I highly recommend Mount Calvary Lutheran School.

We Love Mt. Calvary Lutheran School! We have had all 4 of our sons attend and this magnificent school and it's really paid off! When the older 2 sons moved to a public high school for 9th grade, they have both been amongst the Top 10% of their freshman classes of over 500 freshman! Our 2 younger sons still attend Mt Calvary. All 4 of our sons have scored in the top 90% nationally for the California Achievement Tests (CAT) every year at Mt Calvary! The Christian values are evident in their behavior, as we often receive very nice compliments about our sons. I highly recommend this school!

The staff is knowledgeable and have Christ in their hearts, activities are limited to soccer, volleyball, but the spelling, geography, math competition are great! I recommend and welcome anyone to stop by for a visit.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
