MCR is a truly extraordinary institution, blessed with fantastic teachers and a thoughtful administration. After our years at MCR, my children are venturing out into the public schools not only exceptionally well-prepared academically, but as independent thinkers, excited and active learners, and empathetic human beings. A palpable sense of community knits together the staff, administration, parents and students; an active concern for the academic and emotional well-being of each student spans the community; and there is a consistent standard of excellence - in behavior, academic performance, instruction, and enthusiasm for learning - that is far too rare in my experience. I cannot recommend the school highly enough.

The teaching method is true to the montessori philosophy. The teachers are montessori accredited and the educational landscape makes for a conducive learning environment. All of my children have attended the Montessori Children's Room and as they venture into public middle school territory, they are well prepared socially and educationally to be able to handle (almost too easy) the curriculum ahead of them.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
