To early to say yet. So far our daughter likes the school, mainly because she has some friends there from our neighborhood.

Since we live less than 4 miles from the school (3.9 to be exact), we have to pay for busing to and from school. For some stupid reason we must have jobs and can't take our kids to and from school. This issue we have with the school is, that no one makes sure that the kids that ride the bus get on the bus, nor that the bus driver waits for the kids if they are a minute late getting out the door due to being held up by a teacher or just getting their stuff together. Per Chief busing Svc and their statement on the school's stance on the subject is, the kids are on there own and it's not their problem. What ever happened to a school bus driver and school that look out of the children?

Amount of homework: Don't know

I will have to admit, I think the kids seem to have a lot of homework. But, I'm not sure if that because they don't have time to get done at school -- no supervision on what they're doing at school in their free time, or it's just the norm?

How does a school instill persistence, grit and determination in a child? By assigning lots of homework? I would not say the school teaches my child determination, that comes from a child's home life.

Develops respect: Neutral

I'm not sure it's respect, more like dictated, which is not a bad thing. Kids sometimes need some hard rules to keep them in-line. But, it seems a little extreme in some areas, and lacking in others.

My son enjoys attending every day. He likes the lunches and the staff is very optomistic. Sytaff sends out email. The jazz band group is a big plus.

My daughter has attended this fine institute of learning for two years, and she is thrilled with the school. Our only concern is that her grades haven't been quite as strong as in previous districts.
