I love that my child is going to this school. The school shows them manners and it has been scientifically proven that Vanderburg is the #1 school in the Clark County district, and #2 in Nevada.

All three of my children attended JC Vanderburg and I was a very involved parent at the school. My children excelled and continue to excel in school based on the wonderful education and great support from the staff and teachers at this school. Highly recommend!

I am really happy with JC Vanderburg. My son's teacher has always been very dedicated and he made amazing progress. I definitely recommend this school.

Although this school is much better than others in the Clark County School District, my neighbor has her child in Coral Academy, and I feel that there academics and approach surpases that of Vanderberg.

I had to move to the Valley to attend medical school, and was concerned about my child's education after hearing about how the schools in the Clark County school district were among the worst in the nation. Vanderburg does not fall into this category. I must emphasize that- Vanderburg DOES NOT fall into this category! Vanderburg, along with the other public schools within the Green Valley/Anthem district, are the cream of the crop in terms of public education in the Valley. I am very pleased with my child's education so far. The teachers here are very committed to helping your child reach, and possibly surpass, their academic potential. Parents here are involved and care very much about the success of their children, as evidenced by the high test scores achieved by this school. I can go on but I have a 150 word limit! Thanks greatschools.org for helping me find Vanderburg!

As a parent new to this school and our 1st year in the public school system I must say, 'I want my money back from all the years at private school!' The teachers are amazing and the principal is always visable and approachable. She doesn't put up with parents who aren't involved in their childs education/life. Both of my children come home happy and excited about what they have learned and what they are doing in school. I find that parents who do not like the school are usually uneducated themselves and find the advanced cirriculum intimidating. Please find another school.

I dissapointed at this school totaly. They teach kids just for the test score.

Having moved to a high end part of California, I was quick to realize that there is nothing, not even a private school, that compares with Vanderburg. We sincerely miss nothing of the valley, the corrupt religious leaders and politicians, the heat, the cold, the winds... But we miss Vanderburg!

2 of my 3 children go to Vanderburg, and I can't wait for the third to be old enough to go! Such an amazing school-the vice principal is very hands-on and extremely caring. Vanderburg is the #1 thing that keeps us in Henderson!

All four of my children attend Vanderburg, and it is a fantastic school. It is agressive and challenging , above all in tune with their students.. Both the principle and the assistant principle are personable and active in the academic lives of their students and teachers. My family and I had an unexpected loss in our family, and the entire school, and staff have been there for all of us. I could not have asked for such a smooth, protective transition for my children...

The principal & vice principal have a great deal to do with the success of this school. The teachers are rather talented but the leadership takes a hands-on approach. They know my kids' names and they watch the school as if every student was their own child. The PTA and overall parent involvement is excellent (more so than the school across the parking lot). Like previous comments, the area is good but I don't see the same type of parent involvement with Twitchell or Bartlett like you have here.

I live in the school zone and right next to Montesorri. Both are great, but Vanderburg is hands down the best public school ever!

I believe the new fourth grad teacher from Michigan is doing a excellent job with her class. I never seen so many enthusiastic students wanting to learn.

Parent involvement is excellent. Teachers have been wonderful. I am currently in the process of looking for a new home and I will not look anywhere other than the Vanderburg school zone.

Great school for success, that is if you (as a parent) strive for success. There are many opportunities for parent involvement and there is a great diversity among the parents - From working class to multi-millionaires. The Green Valley Ranch area fosters a level of expectation and, if you care enough to participate in your child's life, you will get much from this school. This is the diamond on an otherwise crappy school district. In fact, most of the top schools in the state are all within a short drive of this area. That is mainly because of the community - It fosters excellence.

Vanderburg is one of the best schools in one of the worst districts in the country. If you come from an area where there are good schools you would probably consider this school average. School uniforms and the rest are just window dressing to gloss over the fact that they basically just drill for the standardized tests (who's scores have been falling slightly in recent years). Nevada is desperate for teachers and it shows. Not all of the teachers are bad but a disturbingly high percentage are sub-par. Overall, not as bad as it could be considering that this is Clark County Nevada but not as good as you might hope for either.

Very rigid, structured program with little room for creativity or individuality. Mandatory uniforms. Admin does not like parental input.

Amazing school, my Daughter went there from K-1/2 of 5th grade. The school is ran very well. Organized and in control. The Teachers are all united from grade to grade, so it was always a smooth transition at the start of a new school year. I don't think I appreciated the Principal and Staff as much as I do now that we have relocated and this new school although good extremely un organized and lack of controls form the Principal. You should be proud to have your child attend Vanderburg Elementary it's like a family and they up hold values. Thank You Vanderburg.

This is a great school with wonderful teachers! I have two children that are currently attending this school and have had a great experience and I believe a great education so far. If there is a problem in a subject, they will address it right away and go out of their way to help a student! We feel lucky to have our children attend this school.

This is an excellent school. All of my children are currently attending and have been from K to 5. The principal is outstanding and all the teachers are caring and great at what they do. They truly care about the individual child.
