Unfortunately Incline Middle School doesn't do much to individualize it's teaching. In all subjects except math they lump everyone together so if you are not great at a particular subject it goes a little too fast but if you're really good at a subject it goes super slow. The honors math class was so big it was hard to learn.
Incline Middle School has so many awesome things. We have an amazing staff, and we even have a pond. How many schools have a pond filled with gorgeous fish? We also have two air hockey tables, and three fooseball tables, for when we have indoor recess. We have an outstanding music program, which is important for every child to get a chance to be creative. Incline Middle School is absolutely a great place for kids to get a great education!
Everything is superior about this school including the teacher to student ratio and the care that the staff gives to each student because of the school size. Not only that, but your student would get the best education there because of the few students and the funds that are contributed by the community. There are a few cliques and such, but that is expected from every school, and since there are so few here, there is more chance for your child to show their individuality and for the teachers to help each child in the way that is unique to each student's learning ability and thought process. Not only that, but the school supports the students who are active in sports and they are very supportive of the arts, such as music and home ec. Music is indeed very important to the community and will support your child through High School.
I think that this school is very clean and safe for my child, not to mention the wonderful teachers who teach here. The teachers are great at solving small problems, and won't let the problems evolve into something drastic before dealing with them. The teachers also make the classroom environment very entertaining and interesting with their new approaches to the learning environment. My student likes the overall friendliness of Incline Middle School, and constantly tells me about how much fun she had at school. If your child is attending this school, I suggest that you have them enroll in as many after school activities as possible, because it makes them more aware of the kids around them, and shows that they are no quite as different from others as they think they are. My son and my daughter have gone to this school for all three grades of 6-8th, and they have had a very pleasurable experience, and the teachers hadve pressured them to do better in their school work, and in the way that they interact with others that are different. There are still the social cliques that you would find at any other school, but there are groups for all kids, and at least one other kid that shares the same idea as your child. The teachers have a no nonsense attitude to their teaching methods, but they will interact with your child in such a way that will make them feel comfortable, and will help them have many friends throughout this difficult time in their lives.
