Beacon Academy offers individual attention to all their students. The staff encourages all students to attend and not stay home for studies. The staff helps students excel in both academic and personal growth which very much helps the student be better prepared for life after HS. I myself like the fact that my voice is heard. If I need a conference with the school I meet with more than one person. I receive follow-up from the staff and I see results from the meeting. I can reach the school by phone, email and meetings. They respond quickly to all forms of communication. I have met with the school a few times and they bring to the table hard facts printed out. I feel the staff knows my son academically and personally. The staff has been able to successfully assist him in his personal growth by exposing him to opportunities specific to his strengths. I feel the school could improve if more students attend the school and take advantage of the free tutoring and allow the staff to assist in getting them ready for life after HS. The school offers free bus passes. If the kids attend and the parents communicate the school will have the opportunity to provide the quality education expected.

Beacon Academy has excellent support for all students. The staff takes time to learn and acknowledge the academic and personality strengths and struggles of the students. The FREE daily tutoring is an option not many students from average to low income families have available. Every time I'm in the school facility I see the staff encouraging the students to continue to attend tutoring. The school recently joined the SkillsUSA club which offers the students a chance to learn real "life skills". Their first full year at the SkillsUSA State competition all students won medals, 4 of which were Gold. They are going to the Nationals Competition. Each year they send between 5 to 15 students to Camp AnyTown for leadership training. The school has parenting classes for Nevada's youth that need to learn to be parents and still graduate and work, right here at the facility. They offer many other opportunities for the students that excellerate in different areas and further prepare them for life after graduation and collage. I think the school may be able to improve by more media exposure that shows just how much they have to offer above and beyond the excellent education.

BEACON ACADEMY - Is a great school for those who want an education! The teachers and staff are amazing, there committed to helping the students succeed... I Liked the tutoring free service they offer on site which most on-line schools don't have, the math teacher who also tortured, help my son go from not understanding to succeeding in Algebra and Geometry! When I enrolled my son, I did if with hesitation, he was struggling in high school, he grades dropped to barely passing, he went from barely passing in most subjects to a 3.85 GPA... what more could a parent ask for... His friend who had to play catch up to graduate from high school due to severe illness, graduated with a 4.0...Beacon offers free tutoring, they have a mentoring program too, My sons Mentor came to our home and he was phenomenal, in keeping my son on task and organized!! BEACON ACADEMY is a great school....For any student Who wants to succeed.

I have found that Beacon Academy of Nevada has been very helpful. The teachers and the staff are what I would consider friendly, welcoming and hard working. They dedicate their time, energy and complete self to insure that every student that attends will succeed.
