I have made many friends over the years, some have come and gone and others have stayed by my side. I appreciate the friends this school has given me, but I still feel a weird vibe from the school. I am currently a Sophomore and have been attending faith since 6th grade. Faith cares way too much about their sports. They put too much time into them, and not enough into academics, especially the teachers. Bullying and cyber-bullying is also a issue here I feel. There are always twitter fights and the seniors and juniors being very rude to the underclassmen. This is supposed to be a Faith based school, and you have students harassing one another. The councilors do not care about your personal life, or what happens to you outside of school, they just are there to get paid, and nag you about going on to "Noviance". Also, they are super strict about dress code which is super stupid. If girls want to wear yoga pants, which look exactly like black school pants, let them. They decided to make "Casual Fridays" where you get to wear sweats, Faith approved sweats, to school on Fridays. I think the only reason they did this is to up the sweatpants sales in The Shield.

Faith Lutheran is a very safe and a great school. There is a security guard that patrols the campus all the time, and that just makes me know that we are safe and can learn peacefully. Faith handles emergencies quickly and seriously. They investigate things and takes care of inappropriate actions almost immediately. College is a big topic here, and I love how involved the staff is here. Everyone is very kind. Some people do complain about 20 required service hours very year, but as a Christian, I feel serving others is important.

This is my sons first year at Faith. He transferred in as an 8th grader and it has been a great experience. We are a military family and unfortunately my son has been in about four schools. He loves Faith! We are retiring here to let him gain stability and graduate from Faith. Mr Fox helped with our admission from another state and he was phenomenal. Everyone we have dealt with has been positive. My so. Plays football and baseball and his football experience thus far has been great. If you are looking for a family setting in a great faith based environment this is it.

My son has been attending Faith for two years and my daughter is attending next year. I have been extremely happy with the school. The staff is very friendly and my child loves it! My daughter is excited about going as well. Both have always done well academically but my son still feels challenged. The students are all polite and the other parents are friendly. They all seem like me and my husband,,,just hardworking families trying to do the best for our children. There are little to no drug issues as the kids have mandatory and random drug testing.

Administration is not a problem. The CEO, admins, and office staff are very kind and treat kids fairly. The school cares about sports more than education, which is very odd. The teachers that also do sports are mainly focused on winning. in the monthly newsletter mailed home, over half of the newsletter is news about sports and advertisements. This school brags a little too much. Bullying and prejudice is a main problem here. Computer monitoring is also a problem. The tech center monitors student activity and movements too much. WHen my child's teacher says it's free time, the kids should do whatever they want. If they don't want them to play games, they should either take away computers and iPads completely, and just use the school computers. Or just turn to the old-time trusted pencil and paper. I barely make enough money to attend here, and I felt like all my hard work has gone to waste. The students here are all spoiled and don't know how to use money wisely. The school needs to tell the parent about this. The school is welcoming to the parents, but the parents are just spoiling their kids. Don't waster your money and time here. Go to a magnet public school instead.

This school has any ups and downs, but the main one is about education. The teachers that are involved in sports, mainly care about sports. If you like football teachers and 4 years of wasted education and brain cells, this is the school for you. Last time, our teacher gave us the permission to have free time, and we were allowed to play games on our computers. Since the school gave us computers and the middle schoolers laptops, they should understand the risk and uncontrollability of the students. They logged me out of my computer for playing games. I tried again, and they kept logging me out. They later called my teacher, and this made me and my teacher very disappointed and embarrassed. They look at the activity too much. THey already block out social networking and monitor the email they have, so cyber-bullying shouldn't be a problem. If you want to feel like a tin can at the bottom of a trash can, this is the place for you. Enjoy.

I am a parent, my son went to this school for 4 years and did not like it at all. It has TONS to offer as the person below said, but it is not the Christian setting you think it should be. I am not happy with the principal or vice principal - they need to learn about working with children. I always on campus helping with this or that and saw the principal yelling at students. They should be treated with more respect even though they are kids. My son asked to be taken out for 2 years before and I didn't listen because this school should have been better. I am sorry we wasted 4 years here.

My son graduated from Faith Lutheran and had a great experience. This is a truly caring school with TONS to offer students. The after school possibilities are endless. 99% of its graduates go on to the nation's best colleges. My son loved the teachers, all the technology, and the baseball program. I strongly recommend Faith!

I went to this school for years and it has really changed. I don't like it as much as I used to. I want to go somewhere else. The kids are meaner than they used to be and the principal, vice prin and counselors are always in a bad mood. I don't get why they have to hate their jobs. Didn't they choose to do this for a living? I know a bunchof kids that want to do to a different school for high school and are leaving. they aren't fair and it stinks. school is hard enough we don't need the elders to be so brash and mean to the kids. have a chill life teachers i'm out of there after this year.

I go to Faith and I don't like it. I am trying to get my parents to take me out. They think it is good for me and better education, but I have friends that left and get the same education and like their teachers and school. This school has a weird vibe, very rish kids are spoiled and bullying is a problem. I hope to go to a magnet hs soon.

Faith Lutheran has all the makings of a great school but are failing with their administration. Greed and money are causing very bad decisions and they need to know how to work with children at this school age. My children were yelled at by administrators and teachers and it truly shouldn't be. I would expect this from public school where there is over crowding and just too many things going on. This school has no excuse for the things happening here. They are growing too large for their own good. If you are a parent with deep pockets they will do anything for you, but if you are like the other 80% of the families you are at their mercy. Someone needs to go in and clean house and get new administration. They seem to not have anyone to report to and are very rude. I have overheard the middle school principal talk to parents in a very arrogant and demeaning tone. We are leaving Faith for HS and I am sorry we were there for middle school. You pay A LOT of money to be treated badly and hide behind Christian Values which are lacking.

Honestly I don't know why people give this school a bad reputation. I went to this school all the way from middle school to 12 grade. Sure it has it's ups and downs but overall I thought it was a great school that more than made me ready for college and honestly isn't that the reason people send there kids to private schools? For a more hands on, personal experience. Like I said it also has it's downs but every school has that. And I agree because it is a smaller school it does get very hard sometimes to fit in and feel accepted but overall I wouldn't trade the years I had at faith for anything.

I went to this school for 2 years and always felt bad here. They are very clicky and it was hard to make friends. I liked my 6th grade teachers but hated the ones I had in 7th grade - they yelled a lot. I don't like having high schoolers in the school as they push you out and it is their school. I left to go somewhere else in 8th grade and even though it is crowded I made better friends and now like school. I wouldn't recommend this school.

You need to know the truth about this school - it is a high price tag with nothing but the same drugs, bullying and issues other schools have. I have never had my child yelled at more for no reasons and she is a A student and never got in trouble. Teachers yelling and threathening kids the principal and vp walk around with attitudes and the environment is really terrible. My child begged me for a year to take her out. If you want a military type of school this is it. They don't have anyway to be accountable, once you register your child it is their way or no way. You have no recourse like you at least do in a public setting. I would be careful.

I have been at this schooll for 4 years and HATED it. I begged my parents to take me out after the 2nd year and they thought it was supposed to be great - but it's not. In 6th grade we were with HS all the time and they pushed us around and slammed us into walls. The vice principal always said he would do something about it, but if you tell , the kids will turn on you later and you still get it and worse. The only thing different from this school is it only holds around 1700 kids so you are going to have less bullying, less drugs etc..... but there are drug at this school (rich kids have lots of money) and you have lots of bullying maybe more since there are only so many kids. The sports in middle school are a joke and coaches are teachers that don't want to be there after school but have to coach at least one sport. I can't believe my parents paid almost 10,000 a year for this school for as long as they did. I wouldn't have anyone go here. It looks good on the outside but the inside is terrible. Teachers don't teach, just sit up and lecture and they yell all the time. I moved schools and got better grades and likes it much better. BEWARE before you spend your money,

This is my son's first year at Faith. He started as a freshman and we were concerned about him keeping up coming from public school. I will not lie. It has been a challenge, but a challenge worth committing too. He was never held to the same expectations in his previous schools which made him become complacent with his education. Faith put the bar high and keeps it there. And for that my son is learning again not just getting a grade. I have read that students do not feel teachers are available for help and I do not know what they are talking about. It may not be every day before and after school, but it will be one. My son has even found support from other teachers if his might not work with our schedule. All in all we could not be happier and look forward to the next 3 years. Let's be honest - no school is perfect. Faith however is just about as close as you will get. The positive attitude is infectious which will drown out the negitive. We are not rich people and this is not just a rich school. We make huge sacrifices for this opportunity, but I know this investment is priceless and wouldn't want my son anywhere else.

They told my mom and dad that they teach are students well, and that " there's not an excuse of not getting a "A"..... BUT THERE LYIERS!!!! The teachers are always busy with sports, thats all they care about SPORTS!! They always remind us that Knowledge is not important, what kind of school says that to there students. Faith is an excellent school, and my daughter is blessed to have the opportunity to attend. The teachers are caring individuals, and I feel she is challenged academically. The one and only complaint would be offering vegetarians more options on the hot meal plan. It would be nice to have a non meat , hot entree once a week. True education is educating the mind, body, and soul. Even the public school district offers vegetarian meals on a daily basis. Other than my one issue, Faith is an awesome school!

I am currently attending Faith! I don't like it! The teachers are always busy with sports or other stuff after school. Every one thinks it's so great but its not. The cafeteria food is either under cooked or over cooked, and the dress code is enforced every now and then. Oh and my favorite they are trying to turn all of our text books into online textbooks!whoo hoo! I mean no one said education was easy, so if you are going to get a good education then you might have to break your back in the process. I happen to live far away from the school so being able to see the teachers before is hard to do! The library is okay but they don't have amazing books, mostly children books. Oh and the students are not always nice. No bulling but no boundaries! Please dont waste money coming here!

I attended this school for 6th grade. I was also in this school for the first month in 7th grade. I loved this school, you get an excellent education but the prices are outrageously high. They are giving all the freshmen mac laptops now and that raised the tuition. I'd only recommend going if you have a lot of money to spare. I had to leave this school (and all my friends) thanks to the prices. And, the school did absolutely nothing to help us. >:(

Very disappointing experience! Office staff is unfriendly, unhelpful, and disorganized. Our child came in from public school at a higher academic level than peers. Math program in particular is awful. Teachers are unavailable except to correspond by email. Theft and inappropriate language are rampant. Once the school had our money it was difficult to communicate with faculty or staff. Don't waste your child's valuable time at this school.

I love this school! Having a son wh isn't as faithful about homework as I'd like him to be, I'm extremely grateful for the calls from his teachers before he has a chance to fail the course (even after 4 yrs of same thing). These calls oftentimes come in during evening hours from their home phones. Most of them even supply parents & students with their cell phone #'s. Unsurpassed caring & dedication from the staff.

Faith is amazing. It has been such a blessing to have our son attend the school. This school has something for everyone...sports, drama, dance, academic competitions, etc. It is nice to be able to have great education in a christian environment. The teachers are awesome. The coaches are patient and are awesome. The drama teachers are truly amazing! You all deserve a giant applause. Thanks for doing all that you have done with our son! As you can see, I highly recommend Faith! Keep up the great work!

This is my child's third year at Faith Lutheran and I am thankful she has such a wonderful school to attend. Her academic performance been fostered at Faith (and we have the standardized test scores to prove it), and she has had the chance to participate in all kinds of extracurricular activites even at the middle school level (dance, drama, honor society, service clubs, etc.) Just attended the statewide cheer and dance team competition over the weekend and Faith won every Division AAA category in which they competed. That's just one small area, of course, but it reflects the students' and faculty's dedication and desire for excellence. My child attends after-school and security is just fine. This school has an excellent balance between Christian ethics, learning, and fun. In my opinion and I have lived here for almost 20 years, Faith is the best private school in Las Vegas.

I am a little disappointed in this private school.Safety is lax, kids are unattended after school at pickup areas, front office is unavailable most times, Some of the teachers are unhelpful to kids and parents, yet nothing changes. Dress code is deplorable yet again nothing changes. Edline is not done nearly as well as CCSD's and hard to understand. Tuition is reasonable, however with the yearly increases and amount of money that flows through the school, you are bombarded with requests for donations, which the way you get treated doesn't make for a giving heart.

Faith is an amazing school. Some people may complain about the uniforms, but who cares? This is high school, not a fashion show. I'm a current student, and I've actually grown to appreciate uniform rules - they prepare us for the real world. The quality of education at Faith is great, you really learn a lot, and the teachers genuinely care about the students. It's a good environment too; the studnets at FLHS are, for the most part, good kids. We don't have major problems with bullying, fights, drug use, or anything or the sort (most high schools do). Not to mention, we have some of the best sport teams out there. Some of the rules may seem silly to a 14 year-old (such as no colored belts), but I think it's worth it for the quality of education we receive.

this school is horrible. the rules are absolutley insane. every child is wearing almost the same thing, there are rules about belts, hair length above eyebrows, just about anything and everything to take away from a childs individuality. If you are planning on sending your kids here, dont, unless it is for punishment. Also one of my sons attended here and one at palo verde high school, they were both in the 9th grade and i was very suprised to see that they were learning the same matterial at the same time, and even getting the same textbooks and homework. the only difference was one cost me about 45$ (pens, pencils etc.)while the other was costing WELL into the thousand of dollars. Bad choice of school. F

Overall, Faith Lutheran is one of the most valuable schools in the city. The class sizes have about 20 to 25 students, thus the higher student to teacher ratio. My one complaint is the high school mathematics department, which needs major tweeking and adjustments. The teachers in this department have trouble controlling the classes and their teaching methods are not up to par for a high school of this caliber. The other departments excel in my opinion and will benefit the students greatly. Many people believe that only the sons and daughters of wealthy and prominent parents attend Faith...this is the case for many of the students, but certainly not all of them. Faith does grant scholarships to those who need financial help and assistance. Is Faith worth the $7,000 a year tuition? In my opinion it is because many public schools in the state are academic catastrophes.

I think faith lutheran is the place to bring your children if you're looking for an exceptional fina arts program. Mr. And mrs. Ball are amazingly talented drama directors. I have seen productions at this school that have blown me away. Parents are always saying that the academy is the the place to be. Faith lutheran drama dept. Has been seriously overlooked.

I went to Faith Lutheran for four years until I recently had to move. It was traumatic having to leave and I miss the school very much. The teachers are amazing people who know how to effectivly teach students what they need to know and make it fun at the same time. The campus is beautiful and is put to good use with a good variety of sports and clubs. The Christian atmosphere and weekly, student led chapels are a wonderful experience. I recommend Faith Lutheran to all parents wishing for their students to attend a school with good ethics, great academics, wonderful teachers, and good friends. It has made an extremly postive impact on me which will last a lifetime.

Needs to improve in dress code, too many kids looking sloppy with torn pants on sides, hair code on boys is the worst I seen in a private school, front office needs to greet with a smile when anyone enters the school, math in high school grades needs improvement, some teachers need to dress more professional, not dress like the kids. Needs more parents involved in P.T.F. meetings,it's an o.k. school, but could improve with parents involved more in different areas of school codes, activities, committees.Excited about cafeteria finally being built, it's about time, don't understand the reason for lockers being outside the school, most kids don't like being out in the heat or cold to get there books, need something done about the kids being outside in the cold & heat, when staff members have their children inside the offices, nice & warm & cool.Hope this will help make changes, there is also room for improvement. Thank you!!!

My child is in her 2nd year at Faith and we like the small classroom sizes, morality, ethics and rules enforced here. I would appreciate more economic and racial diversity, but don't want to send my child to public school just for those reasons. The homework is tough and the curriculum seems tougher than at her former private school. Faith is worth every penny we pay for tuition and more.
