Hayes is an example of how public education should function. The teachers encourage the students, (most) parents are supportive, and the students enjoy going there. Mr. Ligon, the Principal, cares about the students and is directly involved with them.
I was a student there a couple of years ago I loved. All the teachers are nice and care if you're learning or not. The office staff is nice and do a lot of things for the school they really care. Unlike the other school I used to go to.
My son is being going to this school since kindergarten. He just completed 4th grade. I love this school, the teachers, the office staff...it's a GREAT school!
We just started attending this school after moving here from another state. The front office staff is dismissive and rude, and the principal is never around. The teachers seem to care but are hampered by overcrowded classrooms and curriculims that are focused too much on passing state test and not teaching the kids. It's a common theme here in Las Vegas schools and is very dissappointing.
my daughter has been going to this school since 3rd grade and know she is in 5th grade. she tells me that she loves it there. other than that she used to get ds in second grade and know she gets straight as.
My twins attend Keith & Karen Hayes Elementary School and I think my twins have progressed alot. They are in kindergarten and I believe their learning skills are excellent for their age.
My son has attended Hayes for the past two school years and I have been completely satisfied with his education and involvement of the teachers and their skill level.
My daughter has been attending Keith and Karen for 2 months now and I love it.My daughter got sick9very) and i was called right then.No waiting.I love the way they keep parents informed.Great school
I've had a child in Hayes since the year it opened. My 2nd child is in 2nd grade now. I love the school. A lot of the teachers have been there awhile, so you know them and they acknowledge you in the hallway. All of the doors past the office are locked, so nobody could get in without signing in at the office. In the last 8 years that my children have been at Hayes, I've had no issues. My 2nd grader now is behind in reading, and they quickly enrolled him in a special reading program to help him out. My only wish is that it will convert to a 9 month school. I'll have to keep my fingers crossed on that one. Gina
all three of our kids have gone to Hayes and we have been very pleased with the care and education they have obtained over the past 7 years. the GATE program has been wonderful as well.
Great School, great staff and positive environment for students! The only concern I have would be the inappropriate attire of some of the female teachers. They need to remember that they are helping to sculpt young minds and I ask the administration to hold the staff to a more professional standard of dress. No more tight / short clothes or bellys showing. It's time to act your age! Thanks!
My daughter started here in 2004 in 1st grade and I always see both the principal and asst principal in the hallways. Her teacher is fabulous and goes above and beyond. They have PE, music, art and library. I had a concern and the principal returned my call that day. Good School.
My son just started Hayes in Pre K and they have givin him more then any other school I looked at...they provided things for special needs children that other public schools do...I love Hayes and their faculty. They deserve a thumbs up!
Our child has attended Hayes since Kindergarten, and is now in the fourth grade. We have had no problems with the school or the teachers there, and think that they do a wonderful job in helping to educate our child.
