My son has studied two years at Alamo Elementary. My daughter is in kindergarten and both have had excellent teachers who has helped every child until they get the way to learn. They organize different activities to parent involvement.

We are thrilled with Alamo. My son is in 3rd grade and Alamo has been a 100% turn around from his previous school! The work is challenging and they are flexible with children of different learning levels. The G.A.T.E. program is enriching and rewarding for the students. The family activities in the evening are frequent and varied. The teachers really seem to care about each student's enrichment and progress.

i totally disagree with the last post. I think most of the teachers that we have had are very organized the font office is a little distracting. I feel that they are doing what is best for kids because they have made high achieving scores the past two years. I have been a teacher in another state and what they are doing here is much better than in other states.

There are things i love like Family Nights and this year's teachers' we have. It is a 'high achieving' goal orientated school but I don't feel there is enough help offered to those who struggle. I feel we need an afternoon care and a PTA that doesn't just want our 5$ but our team effort. I also would love to see a crossing guard down by the school. I also feel the if we want to pray with our kids we should be allowed rather then looked down apon. We are in America.

My child has gone to this school for over a year now and we just love it. they have a great PTA staff and have great after school activities and are always involving the parents. The teachers I have met are all very nice and willing to help you with your child. The school is very clean and well organized. I do think they need to figure out a better way to pick up the children. it does get a bit crowded at pick up time. But what school isn't.
