My son is thriving at Imprints. His teachers are wonderful and truly like working with his age group (toddlers in the Prairie Room). This is the best experience we have had with someone watching our child. I highly recommend this school!

Truly the best private school in the valley. They actually teach kids how to learn not force memorization down their throats. Beware strict academic preschools! Our kids did terribly there.

I have been an Imprints parent for 4 years, and have seen my 2 children blossom into wonderful, confindent young people. Imprints teaches a different culture a month, the children learn about the culture, its art and music and produce their own plays about that culture. They also work with an incredible fine artist daily, and my girls can discuss the difference between Monet and Degas, as well as Peru and Thailand. Imprints provides a strong academic background, and allows the children to problem solve, think things through and be creative. This manner of teaching has meant that my children are confident, excited by learning, and inquisitive. I believe Imprints will help them to be successful in the global society in which we live. The person who discovers the cure for cancer will not be someone who thinks like everyone else, but someone who is able to think their own thoughts!

At Imprints the students learn to be leaders vs. followers (Rote memorization vs. intrinsic motivation). To explain, the learning of Norway; at another school the student memorizes names, dates, generalities about Norway and when they are tested a week later they recall these facts and score well. At Imprints, the student is not only exposed to the factual data, they incorporate the dry facts into tangible, exciting educational, artistic , & theatrical projects 9even singing in Norwegian!)focusing more than just superficial knowledge for a test. It is more important for the children here to learn how to learn which will stay with them long after a test. Imprints incorporates their knowledge into their everyday lives, demonstrating a true understanding of the subject and a lasting impression (imprint). Learning this way produces a person better prepared for real world situations whether they be social, physical or emotional creating successful and contributing people.

I can't praise this school enough. Imprints has a philosophy of teaching kids through hands on learning. They have theatre and art classes every day as well as music programs. The kids just thrive in this environment and the parents are so supportive and active in the school. The school puts on a play once a month (about a country or subject they are learning) and the whole school makes the sets and costumes. The kids get such a sense of pride and they learn without even realizing it. The teachers are so caring and special. I know anyone that takes the time to check the place out will love it. there is no other school like it anywhere. It's a very nurturing environment. The kids love it the teachers love it and the parents love it. What could be better?
