Anthony Saville Middle School

My daughter is in her third year at Saville, with absolutely no complaints. I appreciate the ongoing enforcement of school rules that is provided to make sure students are kept safe and in a pleasant environment. The ParenLink tool is wonderful! And I appreciate the teachers for staying current with students' grades

Bad school. Lots of kids say bad words and get bad grades. Im a 6th grader..... So I have a 2 BAD STORIES to tell Yesterday, I heard that that 1 girl was punching another girl, and so the girl being bullied had friend come over to protect her. But the bully was beating everyone up. So, the Dean had to pin her down, and a teacher called the police. And the bully was handcuffed. 2nd bad story: I was in lunch, getting to my lunch, there are window for people to order and the cafeteria helpers got the food. It was loud in the cafeteria: C= cafeteria helpers C: What do you want?! Me: Chicken Ceasar Salad with ranch C: Milk or juice Me: Milk C:(threw the milk at me) Me: (got my food and i didn't get ranch. I accidentally dropped one of my foods) C: laughing

I was shocked when we went to the open house this past week and the principle went over AYP scores (which Saville did not meet the requirement) and they listed how everyone did by race. They listed the Caucasians, and the percentage by which they improves and under that they listed "sub groups" which were Asians, African American and Hispanics. I thought this was demeaning. Why couldn't they just list and over all percentage by all students rather than segregate them? What a horrible display of racism.

My Grandson attends this school, and we are extremely happy with the school staff and quaility of education

This school is the worst school i've ever been to! Sure, some teachers are nice and you might a friend or two. But this is a living heck! Kids will hear stuff like the "N" word or even the "F" word being shouted. And good luck trying to avoid bloody fights and seeing pictures of private parts drawn with chawk or on the white board. Some kids even FLIP OFF THE TEACHERS! I'm a student myself. The deans don't even care about the kids.

Not impressed at all! The teachers don't communicate until you've threatened them by getting the admin. involved. The school is so money hungry and then charges for everything--and a lot. For having the resources they do, our students deserve better. The teachers do nothing extra and will let your child fail with no warnings to a parent--so.. you better stay on top of your student and the teachers. The band is a great program, but good luck every trying to get in touch with a staff member or admin. in less than 10-15 calls! Seemingly motivated principal with a completely UNMOTIVATED and checked out staff. How sad!

i like this school cause it has the best 6th grade teachers and it also has the best lunch menu

My sixth grader got bullied and picked on at Saville and the Deans really don't care. The seventh grader attacked my daughter and since my daughter stuck up for herself, she got suspended too. The policy is TERRIBLE. The bully told the kids who observed exactly what to write and threatened them if they didn't. One girl even apologized to my daughter for lying, but said she was too afraid not to go along. We are pulling our child out at the end of the school year.

I am a sixth grader at Saville, it is AMAZING!!!! The teachers and staff are great. The band, orchestra, and choir are amazing. The Basketball teams are just as good! I would tell anyone i knew to go to Saville!!! GO HAWKS!!!!

I'm a former 6th grader at Saville, and it's one heck of a school. After being transferred from one part of Vegas to anoter, it's not easy to adapt to new surroundings. The kids are awesome, but some aren't that enjoyable, The teachers are really great, and there's almost always something happening. And, the orchestra, band, and choir have serious skills. The teachers in those divisions know what they do, and they're really good at what they do. Now at Cram middle school, i just hope Saville stays the same way as i remember it. Parents, i really recommend this school to your teacher, and the 6th graders don't get picked on for being fresh onto middle school. Go Dessert Hawks!

I am now an 8th grader at Saville . In the last two years , I have learned alot . The principal is amazing . The teachers are great . We were rated as one of the best schools for assemeblies . Our school is very fun . The teachers DO NOT let grades slip , and keep everything in tip top shape . The teachers keep in contact with parents , and let you know how your children are doing . The one star reviews are false . The teachers dont let that happen , there just is something wrong with your kid . I have enjoyed this school . IT IS AMAZING !

what r u talking about parents?!?!?! im a sixth grader and for my first year in middle school i love it! u can not compare how this school is different from the rest because saville has gave me the most fun of my life! the games r super fun and there may be some fightin but we have be taught to put that a side and enjoy our time at saville middle school! :]

Coming from public from private school, there is no comparison. I;m sure this is a fine public school but I'm wondering when my daughter is going to get past the 4th grade curriculum from our previous school. Several of the teachers are doing a fine job of communicating via email...don't try to get them to do anything extra to help your kid out. If you want it done, you better do it yourself!

This is a wonderful school filled with great teachers and some that arent the best, but you will still learn a lot. There has been a few tragic events this year but the staff has been very supportive and the teachers are always there and are always willing to help us..... especially the girls' basketball coach (Mr. Z) I don't know what these parents are thinking about us, especially when they don't even go here. They are not the ones coming here everyday to learn, or play basketball. (which rocks!) The basketball team is awesome and are great role models for other students. They help the school in any way they can and they are what make saville, saville! :) Saville is a great school and any child would be lucky to go here. :) Submitted by two basketballers

i don't know what all of these people are saying. i have been a student at saville for three years and in that time i have been i drama choir and show choir. all of my teachers have inspired me in one way or another. dont even read the parent comments because they dont know what happens in the school because they aren't there. yes it gets it scandels and scares but i has so much other good stuff that its outweighed. so go to saville and get in chior

This school has poor teaching skills. My child is failing due to lack of disipline with other students and because teachers fail to teach properly. I have many problems with some of Saville's teachers in the past. I do not recommend you send your child here.

The students there can't be kept under control. Some teachers don't even take assignments that aren't done, I mean at least our kids did some work.

Administration and support staff are very knowledgeable and supportive. Teachers are always willing to go the extra mile to support their students.
