John R Hummel Elementary School is the finest elementary school anyone could send their kids to learn at. Both of my children, one in middles school and one in 4th grade have been attending John R Hummel Elementary School since kindergarten. First of all, the kindergarten teacher Ms. Van Horn is one of the best teacher I have ever known. She started their academic career on a good start and I am so thankful for that. All of the teachers that they have had, have been so awesome and they have learned so much.. Mr Darrington the principal is one of the most energetic principal I have ever seen, always there in the morning to greet everyone inclduing the students and parents. He has always been involved with all of the schools functions like fall festival and all of the events held at John R Hummel. It will be extremely sad for me and my two kids once they are done. I highly recommend every parent to send their students to attend John R Hummel. Thank you John R Hummel staff, teachers and student for giving me and my kids a wonderful experience at John R Hummel Elementary School.
II left Hummel as an honors student with straight A's and now so do my sisters they are now honor students as well
My experience with Hummel has been nothing but positive. The principal is friendly, approachable and fair. I like the teachers too. I'm not crazy about the year-round calendar but that's not the school's fault. Overall, I think Hummel is an excellent school.
I am very impressed with Hummel. The prinicpal is very visible, greeting all students every morning when they enter the building and outside every day at dismissal time. The teachers are very professional. Student discipline is fair and equitable. I'm not sure what school those other people are talking about, but it's not the Hummel that I know. Great school!
I have two kids who go to this school. Overall its an ok school. I don't like that they do not give my kids homework, and they call you at work for any little distrurbance. It gets very annoying, and noticed once your kid gets in trouble they are pinpointed from the bunch even when they are on the A/B Honor Roll. I don't like the teaching staff.
I Love this school. I have 2 children attending this year, and they love it. Teachers are great, helpful and available. Administrative staff is also great. Looking forward to next year.
I recently moved my children to this school from another clark county school district. I am very happy with the teachers here. I also like that the 5th graders have 5 different classes to prepare them for middle school. It woild be great if Kindergarden could be all day.
I have 2 children at this school. We have had nothing but trouble from the teachers and the principle! I can't wait to pull my kids out of this terrible school.
My child went to this school for one year and by the second month I was trying to get her out. This is the absolute worst school I have ever seen. There is no classroom structure and the teachers and admin have little to no communication skills.
