Judi D Steele Elementary School

Steele is a great school for my daughter. She has loved going there for 3 years now and I have had wonderful teachers each year. The activities are well run, but most of all my daughter learned how to read is one of the highest students in her class!

We love this school. Teachers and staff are great. They really pay attention to their students. We got lot of help when we need it. Teachers are not just there for teaching. They also seem to really care for students.

The male primary autism teacher is amazing! He is. an asset to the school. It is a shame he wasn't recoginized for his help during the flood. My child has learned so much since this teacher started. IT'S TOO BAD THE INTERMEDIATE TEACHER HAS NO SKILLS. IWANT MY CHILD TO REMAIN WITH MR.__.

I have been a parent at this school since it opened several years ago. I am so glad there is a PTA, a new principal, and next year the school will be 9 months. I have been discourage with the 4th and 5th grade departmentalization but the new pricnipal will not have it next year, which is good. I think all the 1st grade teachers are excellent The Chess Club is excellent as well as the Science department.

My daughter has gone there for a couple of years and the teachers are great. They actually seem to care about the kids. It is wonderful.

We love this school! The principle and teachers are so caring and involved! It's a tremendous learning atmosphere for my kids and we are thrilled that they were rezoned to this school. Great job everybody!

Unfortunately, all the schools in Nevada have the same sad ways of running a school. Why should i have to dip into my child's college fund just to send him to kindergarten? Why shoul di have to bring in ream copy paper? I should not be paying for office supplies. My husband and I already pay our taxes, why doesn't that cover toilet paper or paper towels for the classrooms? Since when are those not included with a public place? Would you go to a restaurant that told you to bring your own paper towels or silverware? Would you go to a bookstore to be told you have to bring your own paper for them to make you a copy of the book? This is my family's first experience with any of our children going to school. I had questions about how things worked and was totally put down for asking.

I am both a parent and a teacher at this school. I think it is an awesome school. Both of my children have truly grown in this rich and diverse environment. The teachers care about children and it is such a warm environment for everyone. The office staff is top notch and the principal is like a mother to all....the kids and the staff.

We are part of the opening year, and I am happy to report that this school has had very few 'growing pains' and overall, things have gone very very well. Excellent GATE teacher, overall very happy with this school!
