What makes Shadow Ridge a potencial school for my daugther?Violence its a every day matter in that school...

I'm a senior at Shadow Ridge. This will be my second year at this school, and I'm thankful to say it's my last. This school's students have no respect for authority, there are occasionally fights at this school, and recently a student was arrested for bringing a gun to Shadow Ridge. Also a lot of the student use marijuana and in the mornings many students, mostly underage, stand across the street from the school and smoke cigarettes. In My Government class one of the issues always being brought up is the legalization of illegal drugs, the students are very narrow minded, rebellious, and show a great deal of apathy. The Administrators do nothing to stop any of this; they are more concerned about dress code violations than the education and safety of the students. I HATE THIS SCHOOL!!! Please don't think I'm including teachers and counselors; they are great at doing their jobs. The problem is the students themselves and the administrators.21799

I also am a student(Junior) at Shadow Ridge High School, and I have been for all three years and will be returning in the fall. Despite what "jedislammer" has said, I believe that Shadow Ridge has its good qualities and bad just like any other school. Granted the students are rough around the edges, but as long as your daughter hangs out with the right crowd she will be fine. I suggest putting her in a few honors classes to get her on the right path.21797
