I would suggest you look into being zoned for Bonner ES and Rogich ES. Both great schools with involved teachers! Just look them up. They're also located in Summerlin, which has great parks, community centers, and a low crime rate. Both schools above are right next to a great community center that offers after school care and a park.

My husband went to Bonner and his much younger brother, who also went to Bonner, just started middle school at Rogich. After all the years between my husband attending Bonner, it seems to still be a thriving environment for the students there. Mrs. Coleman, who teaches 4th grade is amazing and also holds a fun ettiquette ball. My little brother in law seems to like school at Rogich as well. I can't say too much about the middle school, as he's just begun, but I've seen some pretty glowing reviews on their great schools profile from other parents.

My own family is planning on moving to this area when my child is about to start school. Hope this helps!

All the elementary schools in Summerlin are excellent! As far as Middle Schools go; make sure you are zoned for Sig Rogich Middle School. Almost everyone in Summerlin is zoned for Palo Verde High School which is also excellent. If you are looking for excellent schools you either have to move (and be zoned for) Summerlin or the Green Valley (Henderson area, not LV). I just moved to Vegas and before I moved I just printed out a zoning map at the Clark County School district website and I started pulling out the schools scores from Then I went to the realtor and told her to pick out homes from the areas where the schools were excellent. Hope this helps.
