This school is a lot nicer than ones in vegas, but you have to be part of the predominant religion out here to be 'liked.' The school spirit is very high. The teachers are very nice. The only thing is the 'special treatment' you get if you play sports, cheer, or dance, its ridiculous.

i am an exchange student from germany and i really love to be a pirat this year. all students are soooo nice and really interessted. it was not hard for me to find friends in this great school. there are some classes that i don't like but the principal is very nice so it was not a problem at all to chenge these classes. it is just sometimes a little boring fro me because i have honors classes but it is still to easy for me but that is not a problem from the school, it is a problem with the education system of teh whole state. i'm from germany and i learned teh most things they thaught me here about three years ago. but i enjoy my year.....a part of me will always be a pirate!

I am a former student of Moapa Valley High School. The experiences and memories that I have gained from attending will never be forgotten. Everyone from the teachers, coaches, to the administration, and student body played a huge positive impact in my life. Moapa Valley High School is by far the best school in the state. I am also a former athlete and musician. The coaches that coached me were phenominal and not only taught me about the sport but also about life and how to deal with adversity and to never give up. Mrs. Delgadillo is the band teacher. To say that she has the best band in the state is an understatement. She is a phenominal instructor and really cares about the all of her students. She strives for and expects nothing less than excellence for not only herself but from her students. I will be a Pirates forever.

My currenlty have 2 children currently attend MVHS. I love this school and have nothing but great things to say about it. The problems they have faced in the past are addressed well if you can get back the dean and to the principal herself. I believed she gets an unfair bad wrap for the great job she has done for this school and the valley. We are currently re-locating and I am sad to be removing my children from this great school. We will forever be Pirates in our hearts!

I am not a parent. I am a Senior at MVHS and I believe that we have a exellent music program. One of my favorites is the Encore choir under the direction of Roberta Wentling. The choir is not very big, but oh do they pack a punch. I love the band and the orchestra. Under the honorable direction of Mrs.Delgadillo. I love her. I am not too fond of one of the School Counselors, I will not say her name but she is very rude and should not be counsoling your kids! The principal does her job very well and gets alot of bad credit for it. but ont the whole this school is great for individual attention. And for a career in the Music or Culinary Arts.

This good has many good aspects such as their sports program but they are currently declining in their standards of excellence. How disciplined you are depends on who you are. The favorite students are more likely to get a little space to break dress code than less liked students. The dean dissagreed with the view and sent him to inhouse. The homework load is unbelievable. My backpack weighs over 30 pounds some days. The school spirit has started to decline since the new principal has arrived.
