I really like this school and feel it's an excellent start to education when you introduce different cultures and languages. I have always been treated welcomed and with respect. The environment is loving, my kids love the school and so do I....it's diverse
The front office is not very organized and the information sent home is always missing important details. They assume you know where everything is. Registration was a disaster they don't have information packets ready with basic need to knows, you find yourself resesrching everything from how to get your kid lunch to where their activities are held. Nothing is easy or clear. The secretary is always very scatterbrained and difficult to deal with. They just send home testing results with no note or even POC if you have questions; the teacher isn't the one who sent it and they couldn't figure out who did... really? When you do contact them for more information or to give feedback it's always the same excuse that they so many kids or you are basically made to feel you are the only one with a problem. It's really old to always hear things are tough because of class size, that's not an excuse to not be organized and informative.
The reviews here are very outdated. This school has completely transformed itself! The teachers, principal, and office staff are all wonderful. The focus on math, science, and reading is great, but they really shine with their language academy program. Also, they are a PK-8th grade school, but they still have less than 500 students. My kids love Mt. Rose!
I have a son who attends to this school and we have had nothing but problems. The teachers are great, however, the school secretary is a joke. Not only does she hardly speak english and is hard to understand, but she is a very rude and one sided. We have also had problems with bullying here which is to this day still a problem. If it weren't for my son almost done attending here, I would have taken him out of this school. The only thing great about this school is the teachers who are very helpful, but other than that I would not recommend anyone to enroll their child in this school.
