If you image yourself or your student going to to one of the most selective colleges in the country, then this is the place for you. Sage Ridge School is a school designed for students and parents who are looking for a place that asks everyone to strive for excellence. The teaching is top notch, and the teachers work hard to make sure every student is successful. Because the school's standards are so high, students are going to be required to work, but the payoff is fantastic results when it comes to college acceptances. If that sounds like you or your students, I highly recommend Sage Ridge School to you.

Our experience at Sage Ridge has been an A+ so far. The level of teaching in a nurturing environment is outstanding. My child's English and Math skills have improved from good to superior. But most of all school is a joy to attend instead of boredom. Thank you!

I have a high school student at Sage Ridge and I could not be more enthusiastic about his curriculum to date. He attended Sage Ridge for middle school and we will be the first to admit there have been some rough times. Loosing an outstanding a headmaster was a severe blow and it made a mark on the school for a multi-year term. However, with our new headmaster who has been in place since July 2013, we have only seen positive movement on this campus. The teaching staff cares about their students, I mean, really care. They know how to reach out while teaching their specialty. Lab time, writing, music, the arts and a solid club and advisory network make this school exactly what we were looking for. We did not necessarily want a big school with a football team and cheerleading squad. We were looking for a small teacher-student ratio where students leave completely prepared for their future education. Do you desire the "large school experience" or do you want to purposely avoid the "large school experience?" You need to see for yourself and join a class during one of their open school days. Decide for yourself. We would not go anywhere else.

My daughter is extremely critical of her teachers & school environment. She started last year & is thoroughly loving the school. She is truly thriving both socially & academically. SRS provides so many opportunities that are not available else where. The high school is extremely impressive from what I have observed. The teachers are very passionate about the students & their growth. In my opinion, the tuition is a bargain for what your child gets. I cannot emphasize enough the opportunities that are available at this school. The theatre program is amazing. Out of approximately 2200 applicants, SRS was one of 48 schools selected to participate in the famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland - the largest arts festival in the world! The science program is also amazingly impressive. The labs have state of the art equipment that is simply not available at any other high schools in the area. The literature program there is also impressive. I have spoken with parents who have graduates from SRS & they all tell me that their children have been successful at their respective colleges & universities due to the education they received at SRS. Both the faculty & students are impressive

Sage Ridge is a poor excuse for an actual school. The teachers are not so bad, but the whole experience is mediocre. If you are thinking about sending your kid to this school, and he/she is previously is from a public school, you might want to reconsider your decision. First of all the teachers are experienced, but they do not get on to your personal level so you can thoroughly understand the material that is being taught. Second off, the social life at this school is absolutely horrible. The most you'll get is 50 kids to a grade, and the majority (meaning 75%+) of the kids are very VERY wealthy, and the crowd is not very diverse. Trust me, if you're from a public school and you're going here, you will highly regret your decision. You will get along with a very small amount of people. But if your child has gone to private school his or her whole life, she will probably be used to the socially awkward scene, and extremely challenging academics. Although, I have to give SRS some credit. The English and P.E., are outstanding.

A while ago it used to be excellent. Today it is being taken over by mediocrity, with some notable exceptions -- thus I'm still rating teacher quality with four stars. Parents and students beware: teachers may be laid off/ switched in the middle of the trimester with no exaplanation from the school.

Truly disappointing. Asking for help outside of the norm throws the staff into a tizzy. New headmaster is rigid and narrow in scope. If you are already a straight A student you will do well but watch out if you learn in a non-traditional way. Very fragile egos abound. I am an educator and will not only NOT recommend this school to others but will be sure to dissuade any one who considers this school.

I have two children at Sage Ridge and the curriculum and teachers are outstanding. I have a child in 9th grade who is doing work beyond my college experience. If your child goes to Sage Ridge High School, you can rest assured they will be beyond prepared for college. I also have a 6th grader and he will be well prepared for High School. It is a safe, friendly, environment and I highly recommend.

SRS is a wonderful school. The curriculum is top of the line. The faculty are dedicated and caring. My daughter has truly blossomed at the school and looks forward to attending every day. She has had many opportunities that she would not have had elsewhere. I cannot recommend it enough!

I was truly amazed with the quality of Sage Ridge. I felt that my son was getting the quality of an education he could have gotten at an Ivy League University. He will attend there for his high school education.

I am student at Sage Ridge for the last 5 terms of education its the best in the has a great graduation rate....most of the students attend great colleges and last year and the year before students were accepted to Stanford, Yale, Brown, and Harvard. The teachers are so helpful and the school is constantly improving...the extracurriculars are significantly improving...the only thing that I didn't enjoy was the small community which does make SRS unique and gives it a sense of community....

Hey, I am an alumni from last year. I go to a top 100 University in the country. I am also a major donor to Sage Ridge. I loved my education there. It is the best school in Northern Nevada. Opportunities were given to me to go anywhere in the Reno/Sparks area. I chose Sage Ridge. I dont have one regret. The education is amazing. The student/teacher ratio is small and personal. The 'quality' is amazing. If you dont believe me, then look at the college acceptance list from last year on Best school in Nothern Nevada. Sage Ridge made me a responsible scholar.

I was truly disappointed with the quality of sage ridge. I felt that my son was not getting nearly the quality of an education he could have gotten at a public school. He no longer attends there

Sage Ridge School is an amazing oppurtunity for students from 5th grade up to 12th grade. With small size and personal teacher relationships, I feel like I can approach a teacher not only as a mentor, but as a friend. I love talking to the teachers and my peers are basically my family. I also feel like Sage Ridge is mainly known for its curriculum which is amazing. In 10th grade I was reading college level books (even some in ninth grade)! Books my friends read as seniors I had already read in middle school. This is not a chance to brag; however, I think it's important when considering schools, to consider how rigorous the academics are. Anybody can do well in a class with little homework and easy assignments. At Sage Ridge, I'm forced to push myself and work hard to earn my grades.

All-Star faculty and administration. Diverse curriculum with vast opportunities. High standards but outstanding faculty raises student's performance. Code of conduct embraced by all students and faculty. Somewhat limited athletic opportunities due to size but excellent physical education program/teachers.

The academics are rigorous. The standards are very high, as well. The arts and physical education program are great! Every child is required to participate in something extracurricular, whether sports or drama. The small environment is great!

I am not a parent but I would like to say somethings about the school I attend. I really love it because I always feel safe. No drugs take place on campus and the class sizes are small enough that everyone is friends and there are no cliques. Also, I would like to say that the staff is awesome and supportive. I would definitely reccomend sending your child to this school because I believe that it enhances the learning experience and knowledge gained. I think it is definitely worth the tuition. The student-teacher ratio is 1-8 so I always get the support I need.
