This is a great alternative for your child. There definitly is a learning curve when you start, but the teachers are helpful and available. Be prepared to be an active part of your child's learning experience but the rewards are excellent. My daughter is in 8th grade and loves it, she is planning on continuing through highschool and is learning more than she ever would have in a traditional school. She has more choices in what she can learn and is working above her grade level.

Excellent curriculum, great teachers, safe//secure and well organized. Educational and fun field trips - social opportunities abound throughout the state. Quick response from teachers for needed help or questions too... This was an answer to our prayers for our ADHD 2nd grader and our gifted 5th grader (who was allowed to slip from high honor roll in the brick & mortar school. This is our 1st year enrolled in Connections Academy and we LOVE this school and will continue with it throughout our boys' school careers.

My daughter has attended Connections academy for two years and will continue in the fall. We love the flexibilty and the quality of the curriculum. My daughter is able to work at her own pace, which is about one year ahead of her grade level. She stays challenged, focused, and interested in learning. The teachers keep lines of communication open and are very good at responding to requests for help. My daughter happens to be gifted, but I have met other families from connections academy who have typical students or children with learning disabilities who feel the same. It is a much more individualized education and I'm very thankful for it.

Excellent curriculum from a highly accredited school throughout all cities in Nevada. If you want more involvement from teachers and school activities that are both educational and fun then send your children here. I have all 3 of my children attending NCA. They are progressing very well with stellar grades and high positive social growth. They are able to achieve there goals in other areas like, music and sports with a very flexible schedule. Also scheduling family and social events within the educational itinerary is very easy. Go to www.connectionsacademy.com and register for a free webinair where you can learn about the school from other parents and get answers to some concerns you may have.

Challenging curriculum, personalized learning plan, customize your schedule, teachers respond quickly to any question, variety of clubs and activities, cater to different styles of learning, regular field trips and social opportunities. You don't have to be tied to a computer all day, they offer videos, textbooks (online & hardcover), workbooks, writing assignments. A great opportunity to be involved in your child's education. They can learn at their pace, advance ahead in one subject while taking their time in another. Perfect for those parents like me who always wanted to homeschool, but never thought they could.

We love this virtual school !! My son completed 7th grade at Connections Academy and is currently excelling in the 8th grade there. He has really struggled in the past in public (and private) school. I was very intimidated by the prospect of online or home school, wondering if I would be intellectually up to the challengeof overseeing his studies. C.A. proved to be the perfect solution for us. Took awhile at first to get the hang of it, but the staff & teachers are incredibly patient, understanding & helpful. Trust me.. I'm NOT the sharpest knife in the drawer, if you know what I mean; but with the assistance of these great people, even * I * have become quite proficient at the whole thing. It allows so much more flexibility as far as scheduling, vacations, as well as customizing the learning plan to fit our needs. Highly recommend it!
