Kids in a 504 plan and children that are coded,do not get the attention they are promised. Which goes with the comment another parent wrote in. They do not follow through on their promises and commitments at all! The teachers I have dealt with on this issue have not even had schooling with dealing with children with disabilities. I am not impressed at all with the way this school is run. what ever happened to teachers who really do care about the kids and want to teach them? Even if they struggle a little more then the 'normal' child. If your child is having learning issues, Find another school. Check how many lawsuits are against the schools in this area on this subject. They also expect kids to carry 30-50 pound book backpacks and then tell you to get the wheeled ones that do not even fit into their lockers. Then they tell the kids to get another back pack that fits the locker? three backpacks later and we are back where we started. an ongoing problem. Not resolved and ignored.
my child loves her school. she feels loved by every teacher and feels that wrb is an awesome environment for youth. im glad that my child has a place to go where she can be a part of the school. she loves it when she sees old teachers walk by her in the hallways and still remember her name. i think any child who has the chance to go here is a very lucky child.
I am not in the school district anymore but the special education department needs assistance. I withdrew my child because of the lack of cooperation from this district from 1997-2002. There is a new superintendent in town but I am not at this time rating performances because I just do not have all the facts in place. But we must not forget special needs children they are kids too *They do not bite*
