East Kingston Elem. has a wonderful staff who knows each child by name. The small school has the feel of a private school and just received a prestigious award as an outstanding elementary school. I have 2 children currently attending and they absolutely love it. The school is constantly offering new experiences such as enrichment classes sponsored by the PTO (such as yoga, Legos, zumba), musical instrument lessons, foreign languages and a 5th grade week-long science camp (which all 5th graders attend). The school also has on-site solar panels which teach the students about solar energy and provide power for the school! A very fun, supportive and progressive environment!
I just attended the graduation ceremony for th 5th grade. I was so impressed with everything. The programs that are offered to the students is amazing. The teachers, principal and staff are all enthusiastic about the students. I have three grandchildren, one of which just graduated to middle school, attending this school and their experiences thus far are all positive. They are very bright boys and have been encouraged to do their best in every endeavor. Kudos to everyone for a most successful educational system.
Unbelievably supportive teachers and principal. It is a small school and the community is very involved in the PTO and school activities. Small town with small budget, so the extracurricular activities are limited but overall, the school is really outstanding.
