I have four children who attend or have attended Lafayette Elementary School. Their talent ranges from gifted to mildly learning disabled. I don't think any school, public or private, could do any better ensuring each of them reaches (or reached) their full academic and social potential. The school doesn't have a lot of extra bells and whistles, just outstanding educators and a heavily involved community of parents and neighbors. There are other nearby schools, also with great teachers and a principal who leads, but which don't enjoy Lafayette's reputation. I believe the ultimate differentiator is the nearly complete involvement of the parents and larger community who are ably assisted and guided by the principal, teachers and staff at Lafayette Elementary School.
