What an amazing community this school has made. What I love the most is how involved teachers are and how informed they keep the parents. This school offers soo many after school activities. Some activities are garden club, drama club, chorus, homework club, etc. They also have a wonderful system called the walking school bus, where everyone participates walking to school as a whole community if you want. And this is ran by the teachers. My child learned about history in most amazing and creative way possible by living a day in history. It's been known that kids learn best by hands on activities and through play learning. This is what this school is doing for my child. I could go on and on but you're only allowed soo many words. I recommend this school to all.
I totally disagree with the parent in the previous post. My oldest son was reading in Kindergarten. The classroom teacher worked hard to find challenging activities and the library even ordered books that were at his reading level but were developmentally appropriate for him. I hope that child is having a better experience this year and I would suggest that the parent work with the school to improve her child's education rather than against it.
This school is a horrible place for over achieving children. They do not challenge them in any way. They are lazy and pass along children who can not read or write. Saying that they are doing great. Holding children that are incredibly smart back. I have two children in this school. One of them is very smart and was told that she was not smart enough. What a great thing to say to a 7 year old. That her reading was not good enough. She reads better then most children her age. In kindergarten she was reading books that had paragraphs on the page not 3 words. My other child is in Kindergarten and she can not read at all. What do you know they are saying she is doing great and will be going to first grade. This school is very poor and I would never recommend this place to any parent who wants there children to succeed in life. They will either be ignored or pushed through.
