Plainfield Elementary School is a wonderful community school. The parents in this town support quality education, and support the faculty and staff. This school has a large group of school volunteers that do so many excellent things that are too numerous to mention. The faculty and staff are all certified by the NH Dept. of Education, and the faculty are all Highly Qualified. The NECAP scores are good. The programs and instruction are top-notch, and are on the 'cutting edge' of education. The teacher/student ratio is terrific, allowing the programs to run smoothly, and allowing all of the students to receive the attention they need and deserve. The faculty works very hard on all of the programs and curriculum, and spends a great deal of time and effort in continuing professional education. This school is among the best in the state.

Plainfield's level of parental involvement, its music program and athletic offerings, along with its Spanish in the elementary grades all join to make it an attractive school to attend or to teach at. Its location among woodlands laced with maintained hiking/skiing trails, in a small village close to the cultural hotspot of the Upper Valley make Plainfield School a gem.

Plainfield Elementary is a true community school; parents may be found at all hours volunteering in a hundred ways and children know that community responsibility and service are at the heart of their education. Academically, the program is top-notch without pressure - an absolutely solid core of the three Rs is delivered through 21st century technology and teaching methods - integrating multicultural studies, art, and music across the curriculum. Wow!
