The special education department and guidance department are not parent friendly due to lack of diligence with returning calls and e-mails. This is a very difficult school for mediocre to not-so-good students. Unfortunately, the guidance and SpecED departments don't make it any more tolerable for students or parents. They are very hard to get a hold of and very slow for a plan of action.
I absolutely love it. The teachers are AMAZING, the environment is great, there are a lot of programs offered, lots of grat class options...and the most epic thing ever...Intersession - every other year, the school offers 2 days afteer midterms for students to take all kinds of unique courses, like Self-Defense, Yoga, Juggling and Circus Arts, etc. Yes, the students are occasionally mean to each other, but this happens in all high schools. Overall, (forgive my terminology) I think this school is slathered in awesome sauce! =)
