St. James School

St. James provides a an excellent academic, spiritual and social environment for children. They have a team of dedicated teachers and staff who truly want the children to learn and grow in all of these areas. Fantastic extracurricular activities, both academic and recreational. SMART board technology in the classrooms, small science and math groups, writing workshops, a selection of foreign languages (including French, Italian and Spanish), smaller class sizes, prayer centers in each classroom, a phenomenal spiritual life organization that includes a Catholic book club, prayer meetings, parent rosary, spiritual meetings, numerous charitable activities, all involving the children, and many other spiritual activities. St. James students achieve high standardized test scores and a high acceptance rate into excellent high schools. St. James is an academically advanced school and bright children are challenged, rather than forgotten. The teachers, principal and staff are warm-hearted and really seem to love the work they do. There are many opportunities for parents to get involved with the school, with the children and with each other. Without a doubt, a top school!

We have found St. James School to be academically, socially, and most important, spiritually the best school in the Basking Ridge area for our children. St. James has an award winning pre-school, test scores in upper grades exceeding state averages, and a large variety of clubs, sports teams, and academic teams for children and parents to be involved in.

Provides exceptional well rounded education with strong foundation of math, language, foreign language, and use of information technology guided by Catholic principles. Involved parent teacher association; multiple extracurricular activities including sports, academic and service clubs. An incredible preparatory educational environment at a parish school cost.
