This school is under new ownership and is not run as a school anymore but rather as a "glorified daycare." I miss the old Chrismont Montessori prior to the summer of 2011. My child will not be here for much longer!

This WAS a great school until it came under new ownership beginning September 2011. Now it is all about the money and NOT about the children. I would not send your child here. It was sad to see the old school go to be replaced with a "for profit" ownership where money is the main concern. Thumbs down!!

My child is in her third year here, and at age 5 is reading, adding, making her own lunch, knows more about geography than I do, and is learning how to solve problems amicably. You have to see it to believe how focused these 3- 4- and 5-year-olds can be when encouraged to follow their own interests and guided in how to do things methodically and to completion. Those abilities alone will take a child very far in this world. And key is that they love school, because they get to pursue activities that they care about. I can't say enough good things about what this school has meant for my child.

My child had both a pre-school and elementary education at Chrismont and thoroughly flourished in this environment. The teachers are second to none; educated, experienced and passionate about their mission. This is a child centered program that fosters self esteem and confidence like no other. Most importantly my child was happy, safe and nurtured here. It inspired a love of learning and school in general. I feel that this school prepared my child for her future and provided a very solid foundation in many ways; academically, socially and ethically. We would highly recommend this program to anyone looking for a exceptional learning experience for their children.

You could not have a more supportive group of teachers than you do at Chrismont. They really try to understand the different learning styles of each child and the kids respond beautifully. I do not feel that they children are behind at all. In fact, they are exposed to match concepts, geography, language arts, science experiments and other things that they just would not get in a traditional classroom. My family has been very pleased with our children's educational experience.

We left the school after a few years due to the fact that my child was so much more behind than her peers in other schools. The parents there are not very friendly, except for a select few. Very clicky. Issues in the classroom are not addressed. Even after several requests by us. Its a shame things didn't work out, I really like the Montessori method.
