The teachers do a great job, considering their funding compared to the Abbott Districts, and the fact that many parents are uninvolved. Mrs. Kenny is the bomb. There are good and bad teachers everywhere. The superintendent is wonderful and the new principal is a great guy who was a fantastic math teacher for many years. Do not pay attention to this rating. Parental involvement is what makes all the difference. My son graduated from BES and had no difficulty competing with the best in the county at Communications High School. I felt very safe leaving my kids with Dr. Richens at the helm.

I have two children. My oldest has attended the pk program and is now in kindergarten. I have been very happy with her experience at belmar. Her pk teacher, mrs. Glab was excellent. She is now reading and i love that she receives classes in computers, art and music. I also have a child with an autism spectrum disorder. He is in the special needs program and is doing very well. I am thrilled with the progress he is making.

I think BES does a great job for our children. I liked the program so much that when I needed a bigger house, I stayed in town to make sure the kids could continue at Belmar. The staff is caring and the program is rigorous and current, with great utilization of technology to make the most of the program. Thankfully, the building is also in the process of getting a facelift thanks to the community's support of a referendum.

Overall Belmar is a good school, the teachers, parents and administration is very involved with all the children. The school building could use a face lift and a new lunch room wouldn't hurt but as far as education goes, they are on top of it all.

In general Belmar Elementary gives children a good head start in education. The staff is very willing to help parents and students fit in and make efforts to see the students learn. The kids in general get alot of work both in and out of school. My view is that it could burn them out by the time they reach the tough middle school years, but all in all the evironment is posiitive and safe.

I am very pleased with the progress that my children have made in this school. The work load is heavy but very good for the children. I feel fortunate that my kids are able to attend Belmar Elementary. The teachers are very involved with the parents if there are any concerns and that is inspiring for me to know that there are still good teachers out there.
