In response to an e-mail post, we have had 3 principals over the past 4 years. The first left due to health issues, the second was not a good match for the school and we now have a wonderful principal who is committed to the catholic values and education and all families are extremely happy. We have 111 families with 150+ children all of whom are extremely cared for and are happy intellectually, socially, emotionally and educationally!!
Was a good school at one time, It has had 3 diffrent principals in the last 4 years. Not all the teachers are even certified !! Has lost about a third of the enrollment in the last year. enrollment is only about 136 not the nearly 200 that they advertise . sad, very sad
St. Mary's School has the values that I want my daughter to have.
The first day we walked our oldest child into the pre-K classroom at St. Mary school we knew we were home. The statue of the Blessed Mother welcomed us with open arms. Throughout the past 5 years we have been blessed with many friends who have loved and supported us through the worst of times. We know when our children walk the halls, they are looked after and cared for as if they are amongst family. It is a school that goes beyond teaching academics. The teachers and faculty teach love for each other, respect for each other and how a belief in God and the Holy Spirit will guide you throughout life. My children feel safe and loved every day. St Mary School has a strong academic focus coupled with a firm spiritual base. It is a school unlike any other. And I am proud to have my children wear its uniform.
My daughter receives a great education and and she has a strong spiritual connection. This school is our family!!
Committed Catholic School - Family Environment
Having been part of the St. Mary School family for 16 years, we've seen many changes at the school. But some things never change: the respect and loving concern shown each child by the extraordinary faculty and staff, the goal for each student to reach his/her academic potential, and the lessons on living their faith. The classes are connected to one another as well as the past and future of the school by the continuing of traditions at St. Mary's, such as the hosting of monthly Mass by each grade, Catholic Schools Week activities, 8th grade's Living Stations of the Cross, the May Crowning, and Fly Up Day. The fact that the children are not only allowed, but encouraged to discuss God, their faith, and moral guidelines for making life choices, is one of the main reasons we chose Catholic education for our children. The St. Mary School building may not have all the "bells and whistles" of the public schools, but our children are succeeding admirably in high school and college, and St. Mary's is the foundation of their success.
A great place to be a student :)
My children receive a terrific education in a loving, caring, safe environment. The small class size is perfect and the teachers are the best!
Children who go to St. Mary School receive an excellent education and the most important thing is that they learn Religion, morals and values! The teachers are so caring, they usually know all the children by first name!
