The school setting at Brick, contrary to popular belief by the student body, has started to improve. The bathrooms are cleaner, there are fewer garbage cans in the halls to collect the ceiling leaks, and improvements have been made to the ventilation system. Also, the teachers show compassion and care about teaching, in general. I have had very few teachers who didn't personally care about the success of their students. This extends to help after class, or after school. Almost any teacher would stay after school to help a pupil in need, given that the student asks for it. For the few teachers that do not fall into this category, I believe that a few teachers like that exist in any school. However, most teachers care deeply about their students.

This school is ok. The teachers aren't good, they don't teach well for the students or care for them at all. I wrestle for the school and the school has barley any money but when we do it goes to football. I think we need to have more money towards all the sports equally, and band. Well for band if you don't like it, don't join.

i am a student at bths and it is my beleif that the school is to harsh and judgmental towards students that they believe to be (not normal like every one else) i use those words in a bad form because that is the way that they have been used towards me on several times. i also believe that some teachers are unfit to work in the school setting because they do NOT understand that all students have a different way of learning that the teacher must adapt to in order to give the students the education that they rightfully deserve.

My daughter is a senior a Brick High School. She has had excellent Advance Placement teachers but the guidance department is surely lacking. She only sees her counselor once a year to schedule classes for the following year. Little counseling is provided for career interests. Also the school is lacking in the extracurricular area. Unless a student is sports orientated, he/she has little if no clubs or organizations to join. When the school budget was not passed the few clubs of this type were dissolved. However, little if no cuts were made to the sports programs. The Administration is more concerned with random drug testing. There are many other issues that need to be addressed including the prejudices against minority students, the large number of alternate route teachers in the Math Department and the serious lack of communication between the student body and the admainistrative staff.

It is a good school for sports. A little light on the academics. Needs more advanced courses.

Programs alright not the best. Good amount of extracurricular activities. Not much parent involvement. The computers are out of date they need new ones. Not enough supplies for the students. The school needs a new heating and cooling system it barley works.

My oldest daughter graduated in June of this year 05. I felt that her years at BTHS were happy because of the faculty and staff. She joined Student Government & participated in any activities that she had time for (Chorus & School Plays). The teachers that are involved in these two activites are great my daughter loved them. My daughter was an average student, I felt she did well. I still have a daughter at BTHS who is in all honors classes & has joined the cheering squad. I feel that I have seen many aspects of this school and it's administration it has been very positivie for me as a parent and rewarding for my children.
