I love this school. As far as security goes, you shouldn't be walking past the main office. There are staff members that stop you and ask where you are going. The principal knows my children and takes the the time to not only ask how they are going, but participates in lesson plans. The assistant principal is like a friend. Very warm and acts on every request and complaint you give her. The teachers are amazing. The extracurricular is lacking, but so what.

There are some good and some bad about this school. The good are the teachers. I have twins in first grade and so I have had to deal with 2 different teachers. Both are caring about my kids. They have learned to read very well and are already working on how to use money. This school is also very big on charity, they have charity events almost monthly to collect money for the rainforest, and the American Cancer Society. They also teach the children how to be responsible, respectful and caring to others. The bad is the security. You could walk right into this school and get past the main office with out anyone even blinking an eye. Another thing is that the principal doesn't seem to take the time to learn the kids names.

Excellent caring staff. Patient vice principal very friendly...always available to talk. Warm atmosphere. Counselor is excellent. Has a great PTA program with several functions throughout the year to get everyone involved.

This school has wonderful academic programs. Parents are involved in their children's educations and they have excellent music programs, yet not so many extracurricular activities.

This is a good school for the low to average student or any student who can sit still and not require more challenging work. The gifted program is inadequate and does not even formally begin until 4th grade. My first grader is bored and has struggled to find a friend or a teacher to share her interest in science and the environment. The administration is very nice and will pledge to work with interested parents, but really, very little has changed since I began requesting services.
