Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School

since i have limited characters i'll give my reasons in bullets (BTW i'm not a parent I'm a student) -teachers lack authority, quality of teachers inconsistent -politics not taught, teachers should not fear if students can think for themselves -distracting/mean/manipulating students mostly -some classes/lessons irrelevant to life or useless -students don't get enough say of how the school is run (questionable because lots of students aren't capable of rational thinking) -terrible/unhealthy "food" -sometimes teachers/staff may get somewhat too involved in student dilemmas -in some extra help courses, the sessions are too crowded and each student hardly benefits any knowledge Sure hope the high school is better (this school isn't all bad, when they're good things you'll know them) because this school was somewhat not for me.

I went to this school from the time I was in 6th grade to 8th grade (07-08, 08-09, and 09-10). My experience at this school from an academic standpoint was fairly decent. My teachers knew what they were talking about, and their teaching methods were excellent. The staff was friendly, and they didn't discriminate or make fun of any of the students. If it weren't for the next topic, I would have given this school an A-. From a social standpoint, this school was anything but disastrous. My fellow peers often complained about the most trivial things, and often refused to do anything simply because of it. The students at the school were horribly critical of others and frequently made fun of me for being different and just being me. It got so bad that I was almost driven to suicide. Thankfully, I didn't go through with my grim plan, for I moved away after graduating and getting away from them. Long story short, the kids that go to this school need serious work. Because of this, my final grade for this school is a C. Kids of today: Get your act together!

this school is okay. this is myy 2nd year here but im not terribly thrilled with it. all the rich kids are spoiled and a handful. the teachers are good but can be dull and boring. overall i dont care for this school

this is my first year at BRMS and i am in love with it. all the teachers are nice, the classes arent too hard, but they are still sufficient. over all this is one of the best schools i have ever been to

Its my 2nd year at BRMS and I love it! I definetly don't want to leave for high school next year.The teachers are great and knowledgeable.

My daughter goes to this school, and we just moved here from another town. Ever since she went to this middle school she has learned a tremendous amount. Other parents are worried about the schoool population. Although, this gave my child a variety of friends and learn to deal with different types of people that may cross her path.

Excellent school. This is the best school at bridgewater raritan district. They have a very good principal and very good and knowledgable teachers and staffs. My son is a lucky guy to be a one of students.

Im not a parent but i am in 8th grade and its my second year attending this school and i i think it is the best. Ever since 7th grade my grades are so much better than when i was at elementry school and i love the teachers. I love it and i think i learn alot from it.

I'm an 8th grader at Brms and it is a great school. There may be alot of students but every student gets the attention they need. The teachers at Brms are excellent.

I think this school is the best. I have been here since sixth grade (when there were three grades) and I don't feel that the size is too big. As a student, I love it here at BRMS and there is no issue with personal attetion with teachers, or too big class size. I truely think that is the parents worries, and not the students, but that is just my own opinion

2140 is simply way too much students for one school that only has two grades. Because of this outrageous number some students will not have a chance to participate in activities, little individual attention will be given to each student, and more students will cause disciplinary issues.

I think this school is way overcrowded and makes it difficult for the students. The principal is impossible to contact when it comes to responding toward a parent concern- no direct reply.

This is my sons second year in this district. The teacher's are of great quality he does very well and they offer alot. But the school is simply too large! Coming from a small district, and knowing what a personal touch is, this school just does not have it. Sorry.

I am very happy with this school, I think is the best in the area. My daugther had some troubles last year,because the change was terrible for her, but this year, she is in the honor roll and I have to say. All teachers are great. Thank you teachers.

Severely overcrowded as evidenced by numerous trailers. A police car at school daily, or almost daily, reveals discipline issues within the student population. Administration lacking: 7th grade trip returning from Phila was delayed 4+ hours. No call to advise parents of delay, office was closed, no one to call from the administration, no phone chain, no information forthcoming from the school. Hours of parents waiting at the school to pick up their children-with no contact from the administration.

My son attended this school for seventh and eighth grade, and received a great education. While attending this school he received work that required him to go to the next level; which I was happy to see. My son came from a school in PA where he never seemed challenged or motivated to achieve better, but this school brought out the best in my son. If your looking for a quality school then Brdigeater School District is it.
