The School is taking a serious look into improving academics and the much needed focus on basics. Very happy to see a text book for grammer this year. Teachers are great and hope they keep the focus on academics and improve the quality of education. My daughter loves the school and all her teachers.

Eisenhower school is now an intermediate school not elementary. The school offers lot of challenging programs for the children like advanced Match and Reading, lots of great teachers, very good music program. The principal is excellent and is very involved in both curricular and extra curricular programs. The PTO is very organized with participation from significant number of parents.

I agree that basics are not taught. While reading and writing cause an 'osmosis' of grammar, spelling, vocabulary, etc. I feel I before except after C style lessons are needed as well.

Daughter is in 5th grade at Eisenhower. Not to happy with academics. No grammer? No spelling tests? Mid year they started with spelling , probably cause I said something. Other than that they are great. Daughter loves school.

I think the quality of academic programs is stellar. The teachers are excellent, and the students work together to have a fabulous school environment.

The Everyday Math program is a loser. The kids are not learning what they need to know. This math program is ridiculed by other local schools. We left BRRSD to attend Somerville, my kids are getting a better and more well rounded education, despite Somerville's reputation.
