Richard Butler School is a great school, I feel the teachers are very involued and supportive, extra help is available and the students are held accountable for getting it. Principal Manco and Mr. Wolak are very professional and suppotive. I transferred my daughter from private school and really am pleasantly suprised. Sports are a big part of this school also.
Nothing exciting about this school. (Most) teachers are apathetic and so are the kids. They pretty much only care about sports but for the kids who are more into academics, there is nothing to do. No after school clubs, no homework help. Teachers just want to go home as soon as the school is over. Kids with good grades don't feel appreciated or rewarded in any way. They don't even post the Honor Roll list online! And their website is a joke btw. Butler is a small town but not in a good way, at least with regards to schools. And did I mention how teaching positions go to family members of friends of BOE members? Bottom line - don't settle here if you have a choice.
