I love our school. I am a student at Star of the Sea. My grades are excellent, and they wouldn't be that way if I didn't have the help of our teachers. I am also in the CAL for our school(basketball team), and our coaches are so wonderful. I love star. Go Sharks!
I am thankful that in an area where quality education is hard to find, we have Our Lady Star of the Sea. The principal is truly concerned about the well being of our children. The teachers are friendly and give extra time and effort whether they are asked or not. Parental involvement is encouraged and appreciated. It is such a blessing for a small, family-oriented school to offer drama, foreign language, and advanced classes. Overall, OLSOS gets an A+ from me. Thank God it will be able to stay open and continue on its path to excellence.
I would have to say that Our Lady Star of the Sea School is the epitome of what a Catholic School should be. Warm, loving and committed teachers and staff. Academics are top notch and there are many extra curricular activities. Best choice in Cape May Co.
I feel so fortunate that I made the choice to send my children to this school. OLSOS is a small school with a family atmosphere. All teachers know all of the children. In addition to excellent academics, children are taught values and morals. Students graduate 8th grade with a strong sense of self-worth and desire to succeed. I started my children in a local public school, then moved here. The level (or lack of in the other school) of parental involvement amazed me. As a parent, I want to know what my children are doing on a higher level than just reading a quarterly report card. I know who my children's friends are, and I know who their parents are. While small schools don't always have the resources found in a larger one, one fabulous principal and a tremendously dedicated staff more than compensate. I highly recommend this school.
We Love OLSOS! My children get love, morals, ethics plus a great education. The family support and invlovement is outstanding. The best at the shore for sure! If your child needs advance classes or extra help all one has to do is ask.
