The Principal, Mr. Morton, really cares about the kids and takes the time to know them all. The staff and teachers are wonderful as well. It is one of the few schools in our district to have the 'multiage' classes that combine 1st and 2nd grades - which is a great way for kids to learn.

I was hoping for more out of this school. My child is miserable at this school. Everyday she comes home and tells something negative about her teacher or another teacher. It seems that these teachers are just a little to frustrated with the kids. If they are so unhappy maybe they need to not be teaching younger kids. I can not wait till this school year is over. I will not be sending her back to this school.

The school is already known for having a wonderful faculty and a great group of students. The new principal is great, He has added the one ingredient that the school was missing..Discipline.

Very poor in helping children that need extra help. The teachers are out the door at the end of the day before the kids even get onto buses. Calls are not returned by principal if there are any questions or problems.

Even though my kid is only in Kindergarten, he loves school! By end of Friday he always looks forward to go back to school next Monday! Now that tells you something about the students and teachers.

Joyce Kilmer is an incredible school. I am very proud as a parent to say we are a Governor's school of Excellence and Best Practice Award winner. Our teachers are dedicated and focused. Our PTA is united and strong. Both groups come together to ensure our children have the best education out there. Those postings that are negative are from bitter people who would not see a good thing if it bit them in the face. Kilmer has its growing pains but, remains 'Rooted in Values, Growing in Knowledge'.
