Our kid has been going to CHM for 3 years now. The teachers are caring and our kid is learning well. I would recommend the school for any parents considering a caring, nurturing and learning environment for their children.
High level academic standard!!!We have our two daughters at Children s Home Montessori; our oldest one has been there for 31/2 years and our youngest for 11/2 years. They both love there school and are always happy to go. We love the fact that this school is small family with every member trying to become their best. All the children are connected. You know your child is becoming their best and everyone is there to cheer them on and support them. This school offers the best program and high level of academic standards .My Favorite part of Children s home is the staff and knowing that when I drop my children off in the morning they are in great hands and will be loved.
I have been a parent at this school for 4 years and I had a great loving experience with all teachers and other parents. We attended all observations and parent teacher conferences every year and accepted the constructive feedback from the school. We tend to be very sensitive when we are told that our child needs any type of an evaluation, however in our personal case, it did help our girl tremendously. At that time we were sad and in denial but when she started to improve we couldn't be happier. Our experience has been pleasant and so very helpful.Keep an open mind and heart.
I would not say this school is horrible, just this school was not for my child for the few reasons. The first, it is hard to communicate with the school closely. They seem that they do not like to involve parents. They do not even allow parents to see the classroom except observation time. I think as parents it is important to understand what is going on to your child in the school, especially in the early childhood. The second, I thought the teacher was not familiar with the bilingual education. ( They recently hire the spanish speaking teacher though...) These are the reasons we took our child out from this school. Otherwise, the school is clean. The teachers are hard working and nice to children ( I do not know the all teachers, but the teachers whom I saw. )
I have two children at this school. My oldest has been there for 2 years plus. They have progressed very quickly. My oldest was reading by 4 years old and I work full time. Everything he learned academically, he learned at Children's Home Montessori. He also loves his teachers. He always wants to go to school. We are very happy with the tough academics as well as the teaching staff which is great with our kids. We are very grateful to the school.
Really awful school and belongs in a horror movie. If you want a caring, educational environment, this school is NOT the choice for you. I just wish I had known all this before...
Parents do not be fooled by the last 5 reviews. If you look 3 were written on Oct 9, and the other two a day a part from each other, this is no coincidence, it's the director! Shame on you!!!
STAND INNOVATION! My daughter attended previuosly another Montessori School in the area and there is no comparison, now that we know what a true Montessori School is ought to be. Professionals as head of each class, High level acadermic standards and open minded parents that are willing to listen to constructive advice that will only benefit our children. Mix it together and you are at this amazing school. Keep up the excellent work ladies.
A dream come true: My daughter just started school and I was very worried because she is very sensitive and cries a lot. I am happy to see her now, after only two months, eager to go to school, yes eager and happy. She can'st wait to go to work and play with her friends. My dream come true. I think this is only possible with loving and caring teachers. She has learned all the sounds now and the most important of all she has learned to listen and respect others in such a short time. What a great Montessori. I did exactly what Mrs. Dellepiane said and the results, I saw immediately! Excellent
Speaking honestly, the reason why we enrolled our oldest at this school three years ago was the convenience of its location and the tuition compared to the other Montessori schools in the area. We are so happy with the results that even though the location is no longer convenient for us, when it came time for our youngest to enroll in school we did not hesitate to enroll her there. Our oldest is right where I expect a four year old should be academically. I agree with the others that the director runs a tight ship and is very controlling and very involved in every classroom. I also agree with other reviews that the director is blunt and does not mince words but that is something I personally appreciate. As parents we tend to be over-sensitive when it comes to our kids but sometimes facts are facts and we need to accept that. As far as communication with the school what we found to work best is writing our questions and giving it to them in the morning when we drop off our kids. We always get a written response the same day.
