I have one child who graduated last June and another that is currently a sophomore at Cranford High School. CHS provides a top rate education with a large variety of academic offerings in college prep, honors and over 20 AP class offerings. My son is excelling in his first year at college. Due to the excellent AP classes he took, he received enough college credit to allow him to double major and graduate a semester early. CHS offers an abundance of extra-curricular activites in nearly every discipline imaginable. Dedicated teachers go above and beyond to make many of these activities rewarding experiences for our students. Beyond sports, our kids get excited to be involved in various community events, charitable fundraising activities, cultural offerings, performance opportunities and academic/educational competitions. CHS and it students regularly receive recognition through state and national awards in academic areas and the arts.

All 3 of my children attended Cranford High School. I found there educational standards to be exceptional and well suited to each child's individual needs. The teacher exhibit various teaching methods some more enjoyable to the children then others but all in all highly competent. The school's staff at time lacks enthusiasm and warmth operates more on the institutional side. However, overall each child thrived and received a good education that sustained them through college.

Cranford offers over 10 different AP classes, and has a great variety of elective courses that not only intrigue students, but also make them more well rounded.

CHS is an excellent school. Academically, there is a wide variety of options. From standard to honors to AP, CHS makes sure every child fits where they are intended to. There are great programs for all types of students, and those students who are interested in something not available are able to begin their own clubs and take independent study courses. Also, all types of sportsa re available for the students and the entire atmosphere of the school is outstanding. Being a National School of Character is another part of what makes CHS a truly outstanding school.

Cranford High School offers many different programs for the students. There is the opportunity to be involved in art, sports, music, and other activities, yet they are only as good as the teachers who teach them. Some of the teachers clearly do not want to be involved and are only there to earn their paycheck. The students suffer for their indifference. But most of the teachers are helpful and involved.

As parents of a 2 third-generation graduates of CHS I've been very pleased with CHS. The school has won a number of academic awards and has one of the best choral music programs in the state.
