This school is fantastic! The principal is among the best in the district and our kids have excelled and challenged themselves. The community involvement is extensive and it shows.

This is my son's first year at HAS, 7th grade, and first time in public school. I am thrilled with my choice of schools. My son loves his new school and teachers. First day of school, he thanked me for sending him there! The principal is hands on and cares about the students! At the new student orientation, the principal gave us a personal tour of the facility and went over all the rules and answered any questions that we had. He also made sure that the new students knew where his office was located and told them that if they had ANY problems/questions to go to him directly. I had friends tell me that Cranford had an excellent school system. I totally agree with them!

My son is in 4th grade and is an A/B student. I credit Mrs. Warren for her excellence in teaching and showing the kids good study habits. My son will take this with him to the next level. I hope my son gets the opportunity to get Mrs. Warren again. She deserves an award for outstanding teaching.

My son is currently in the second grade at Hillside and I must say I am very impressed with the work he is given and how involved and enthusiastic his teacher is. My daughter will start kindergarten next year and I'm confident she'll do well also.

I currently have 3 children attending HAS, an 8th grader, a 5th grader, and a 2nd grader. I have been very pleased with the teachers, administration, and overall education at Hillside. Everyone involved at this school have a common goal, to ensuring the education of every child. Even the support staff, maintenance staff, cafeteria workers and secretaries are outstanding. They also have an incredible assortment of after school clubs and sports. Their musicals, school choirs, and band and orchestra are so professional it's hard to remember that they are just kids.

My son graduated from HAS last year and I was very impressed with the teachers and the staff. They are truly dedicated to the students. My daughter is currently in 6th grade and has a learning disability. HAS and the Special Ed teachers go out of their way to ensure that my daugther is getting the best education and that she is on the same level as those children mainstreamed. She is doing outstanding work and getting phenomenal grades thanks to everyone at HAS.

I have a seventh grader at Hillside Ave. School. I have been very impressed with the dedication of her teachers and the administration. She is a special education student, and all the children have been wonderful to her. Hillside Avenue provides a nuturing environment, many activities, and a great education. There are many opportunities to develop a well rounded student.
