unfortunetly, scores don't tell the whole story.Teachers are burnt out, many play favorites, socialize with families making other students the outsiders. Only AL students are paid attention to and encouraged to successed.

I have to say Cresskill High School was great. The attention and effort from the teachers and the staff in general was phenonmenal. Definetly a tier 1 public high school. I am attending great universities, I have military experience, and a great job. CHS was a great experience.

Nice school, but being a small school makes very difficult for advanced students to get AP classes like Calculus BC or Spanish Lit. Guidance Office offer no help for those students, nor a good guidance to get to the best colleges. Sports are good.

I graduated from CHS some years ago. I can't say enough about the quality of education. the teachers were great and the attention I got in the class room was outstanding. Mr. E who is the principal now was a history teacher when I was a student. the only negative that I have was the guidance dept. was average at best! I had to do the whole college thing alone. No place to hide in a small school. The kids were really into sports which was great! not a lot of kids who were into drugs which was also great! I owe a lot to CHS it was great place to grow up!

I graduated from CHS two years ago and am now a sophomore at a college that I love. The small size, personal attention, and amazing academic and extracurricular opportunities here made my time in high school challenging and enjoyable. Some complain about favoritism, but the only 'favored' students are the ones who really work hard in their classes and make an effort to get to know their teachers, coaches, and advisers. If you're willing to put in the effort, CHS will provide you with the best high school experience I can imagine.

Arrogance, snobbery, favoritism, could-be-better SAT results (particularly in Verbal), why pay 600k and unbelievable taxes to live amongst the best of the average - the B+ set, who consider themselves to be the elite. Suggest living in a smaller home in the Tenafly district or Alpine, which is the real thing on quality, air conditioning in the school, better teachers, and a Principal who cares for all students, not just his pet favorites.

I am a student in Cresskill High School right now and I would definitly reccoment this school to any parents looking for a good education for their children. Before I attended CHS, I was not challenged at all, but now I work hard and earn my grades. The teachers here are phenomenol and teach you in a style for which you are sure to understand. My report cards are filled with A's and only a seldom B during the years I have been here. I definitly reccomend Cresskill High School.

My first four childern attended CHS with three graduating with real world skills along with the ability to successfully attend university (one graduating with a double major in just four years but didn't start his higher ed. experience until after a successful nine year business endevor. My other two, who where transfered to a suburban Michigan H.S. in 9th and 10th grades where almost a full year ahead of the curriculum at their Rochester Hills, MI H.S.
