My graddaughter entered the Walnut St. School this September. She is very happy with her classes and activities. As a 6th grader, she and one other 6th grader are on the field hockey teem. She is the only 6th grader to have a lead in the school play. Because of the budget cuts that Gov. Christie made, they are no longer able to provide some of the extra activities they had in the past. It would be wonderful to have funds for additional learning tools. Hope you keep this school on you radar. Thanks much.

School is probably ok if you have a student that does well academically. However if you have a child that has to be in the Special Ed Program it is terrible. My child is now in the seventh grade and I am just finding out he is a couple of years behind in reading. I have been telling the school this for years. It wasn't until I had my own independent learning evaluation done that I found out I was correct! Absolutely disgraceful! Teachers do not follow IEP's and the schools do not seem to follow up on this and make sure the do. I would not move to this town knowing what I know now.

We have been very happy with the education both our children have received. In general, the delanco schools are well-organized and maintained. Our children have remained friends with children that they have known since Kindergarten. We have enjoyed our children's teachers and discipline. The school is very safe as well as the town that we live in. We are very happy about the exposure to the arts, literature and science as well as the fine job that the principal is doing. She is very receptive to the parents and works with the students.
