As a very satisfied parent of a 1st grade student I couldn't agree less with the person who gave Riverview zero stars. In my experience, the school has demonstrated (beyond a doubt) that it has to its credit dedicated teachers and staff; a friendly, cooperative learning atmopshere for children (regardless of their level of ability or learning disabilities); an excellent curriculum; and small class sizes - everything you could want in an elementary school! Only wish even more parents would get actively involved! We LOVE Riverview!
Great school! Amazing teachers and staff and a terrific curriculum! Five stars all the way!
We are so impressed with the faculty and staff. A truly excellent elementary school, the curriculum is well thought out and comprehensive.
I think the teachers at this school are excellent. I have a child in first grade and in second and can't stress how impressed I am with the teaching. I think the teachers are organized, well informed and very pleasant to deal with. I also must say that this school is very lucky to have Mrs. Risa Kallas as our nurse. Not only did she help my daughter through her anxiety about going to school she did it with such grace. I applaud this school and the staff.
We are very happy with Riverview. The kindergarten teachers are very good. My daughter did very well there. The 1st & 2nd grade teachers are excellent. My daughter does very well in 2nd grade and my son now has a very structured 1st grade teacher whose teaching style addresses his needs.
We were very dissatisfied with the quality of teaching here at the school. Either the teachers were fabulous, or completely inept. There are little resources for evaluation for students with learning problems, and as such we had to be extremely involved in our son's education. The principal, though verbally accommodating, seemed to have little impact on her teaching staff when repeatedly advised of the issues. This was clear in consistent and repeated run-ins with the same teachers incident after incident. Our son is challenging but kind and did not deserve the kind of treatment and cruelness he received here. In fact, it took nearly 7 weeks, beginning to end, to complete his educational evaluations. Way beyond the legal acceptable norm. Consider private school.
