AP classes are great but the students in those classes are usually great. If your kid in middle of the road or needs extra help (at all) this school is useless. The principal is finally leaving after 100 yrs of being there. This will be a welcome change. Now if we could just change the guidance dept. then we might be on our way.

Graduated 2003. Hm, I would rate the school 4.5/5. Its well known as the only campus high school in New Jersey. Teachers are great, but like one said, Guidence are unless especially Mrs. Smith. Heard HPHS had a new Principal, so can't say anything about it. LIke I said, overall I would give it a 4.5. Good numbers of AP courses for you.

Hanover Park is a great place to get an education to help you achieve in college. If you take advantage of all the honors, AP, and upperlevel classes you will find that you are really prepared for college. I know it first hand, I know am in an honors program at an accredited college and I'm doing great. I came into school with twelve credits because of AP test and was able to place out of freshman writing. I give all this credit to the quality teachers at Hanover Park. No one spoonfeeds you anything but if nothing else HP teaches you to be pro-active in seeking out good opportunities to get ahead in the game!

Good school but unfortunatley did a poor job of properly preparing student for college, guidance councelors are a joke. You must do your own research and push your child to excel beyond the curriculum starting before the freshman year. I know better for my next two!

This is one of the finest schools in New Jersey. It has a campus like feel in that the classrooms are in separate building sections, thus giving you a college like atmosphere. There is always some activity going on; the school has a fine athletics program, band, and theatre arts program. The teachers are wonderful and the administration is tops.
