We love this school - as my husband attended it 30 years ago - it has a strong sense of community. We feel our children are in a safe enviroment while learning to become strong people.

Woodmere Elementary School each year has less then 300 students located within a neighborhood where everyone cares about the children. The neighborhood interaction continues past the school walls towards activities like Girl/Boy Scouts, Little League Baseball, Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading, Band, Choir and more. Educational achievements like the Math League, a Geography Bee and the NIE Spelling Bee are held along with a wonderful Gifted and Talented Program and Advanced Reader Program. Each of these are designed to lead children to always strive towards advanced educational goals. Finally the warmth of the teachers, administration and staff exuded towards all the children is a joy that contributes towards making the school a 'community family'.

It's a true 'community' school - the kids, parents, teachers and administration reflect this in their interactions with one another, school events and school pride.

We are a close-nit community that has a very active PTA which helps the school enrich the childrens experience both academically and socially.

Well, my husband went to this school and now our children go there. I think that says it all. We bought our house, just so our kids could go to the Woodmere School and we made the best choice. Our school gets better every year with help from all the parents, teachers and all the staff!
