Hamilton is really motivating teachers to teach better to improve the quality of education for all the students. The school has been through three different principals in the last 4 or 5 years and many changes in it's teaching staff. The school offers many programs to help the students succeed. It is there for those that care. The teachers come early and stay late to help students. Parents need to get involved to show kids that they are part of a larger community and there success will impact positively on our society.

Many say hamilton is a bad school but it is improving. We now have programs like pace that help us. I feel safer now there than when i was in 6th grade(and if your wondering i'm an 8th grader). The teachers teach perfectly and explain the material throughly. We get much exercise in gym class and in spanish, they now seperated the classes from non-speaking and speaking so now we actually learn at our level. Most of my friends are american and they understand me when i speak spanish. Some say hamilton is bad but that's because they only see the bad in it. Security guard are always on watch for mischief and such. Our lunches still need a bit of improving but it's surely much better. My grades are straight A's and B's so i assure you I'm not lying in any matter.

March 17th, 2005. To whom it may concern i believe hamilton middle school has improved within the last 4 years, but still needs to improve a lot more. At this time they have a program called pace which is a great thing, i believe the program gives motivation to the students to do better in the academics and at the same time they also benefit from gym (they play sports, also acting etc). It will be great if the program expands so they can offer more to the students and since the program is after school till 5:30 there must have a period of time in which the students can do their homework, or get homework help if they having difficulty with a specific homework or subject. I also must mentioned that the school lunch menu needs to improve big time. The food is not fresh sometimes. I wish i can say more...

I think that this school needs a lot of improvment. My child has been compalining of thr shcool janitors looking at them incorrectlly.I also think that this school needs inprovement in everything! From the inside out! My daughter says that some of the teacher's aid's mistreat the children when they go to get suspended. There are some teacher's that get upset for everything. THe spanish teachers don't even know english to translate. Most of the childeren in the spanish program havent learned anything of spanish. My daughter also has not learned one word in the spanish language. Many of the children are also repeating the year. The math teachers also need to get the kids ready for the Terra Nova. My child complains of the teacher not wanting to teach sometimes. This school needs major improvment.

I think that there is not enough performing arts activities. And there is not enought things to join. And I want to know why there is no time to go outside. I think that is really, really wrong. A couple of years ago people said Hamilton was the worst school. Don't go thinking that it is the best because no its not. As an adult and mother of a student in your school I can say your school has improved but still needs more.
