Ewing High has many great choices of clubs and sports. The teachers are great and care very much about the kids. Some teachers even start clubs and don't get paid for their time. Some students don't care about an education and waste time in the classroom socializing.

This school is okay, they have a few good teachers but others need help on how to teach a class of high school students or need to be fired but my attitude about school has changed since my freshman year. But they also allowed me to be involved in school sports and programs that has helped me stay out of trouble.

I loved this school. They had many academic oppurtunities and extracurricular activiities for an urban school. I loved it!

Teachers should strengthen their students' proficiency in Math. More exercises should be done in class. More complicated examples shoulld be provided.

As a former student, Ewing High had everything to offer and then some. I am happy with my education and could not imagine going anywhere else.

The high school could be rated as 'good' to 'very good', in my opinion. Like a previous reviewer, I am pleased by the music and drama offerings of the school, but I disagree with his/her comments about the sports programs. Winning isn't everything, so even if the bowling team was the only team to win a state championship (Way to go, kids!), the other sports teams are good for teaching our kids things like good sportsmanship, teamwork, etc. We need all the positive activities we can have to help kids develop. My child's experience with the academics has been mixed: she's had some very good teachers and some who are so-so. I wouldn't say any of them were awful. Parent involvement seems limited by the school administrators. The only thing they seem to want parents to be involved in is fundraising. All in all, EHS gets a B in my book.

Ewing High School isn't as bad as every one says it is. There isn't as much violence as I expected. As a freshman, I was happy that we have such a good music program. The drama department is nice as well. However, I've found there is too much focus on sports at this school, which is odd see as our bowling team is our only good team. A lot of teachers I've had are very good. They take the time to connect with their students. The office and the principal, however, seem nonexistent. They ignore complaints that you have (there's only one unlocked bathroom in the entire school at one time, not fun) and think every child is bad because some are. The parents need to be more involved as well, though I'll blame the office for having almost no school to parent communication.

Ewing HS is more appreciated from the inside. It has some of the best teachers in the area who challenge those who are college bound and motivate those who are not supported at home. Parents who are in constant contact with teachers have successful students. Administrators and teachers do their best to provide Ewing residents the best education in Mercer County. The resources are there for those who want better in life. Society has to emphasize education as more important than what is heard in the pop culture music of today. Students are allowed to use the lavatory, but must sign in to prevent smoking and graffiti. Smoking has been successfully removed from lavatories. The Basketball and Bowling Teams have been recognized throughout the state. The HS has one of the best discipline policies on dress code and cell phone use. More parental support is always needed.

This school system has began a raducal change since the new principle has been welcomed to the school. He has taken a strong stance, cleaning up the school. All in all, this school has become one of the standards which many of the nation's schools should be modeled after, keeping the students in a safe enviornment where higher instances of learning are encouraged and rewarded.
