Tom Woelper, Georgia Zaiser, Edward Thompson, Rik Dugan, Callie Shafto, Ron Sansone, Tye Campell, Susan Carpenter, Chef Howard, Scott Freeman, Peter McBride, Jeanette Mastria, Kathy Uliano, and Amy Burns have all made countless positive differences in the lives of the students and colleagues who have had the good great opportunity to know them!
Whether challenging themselves on their state of the art ropes course, annual wilderness expedition, or master concepts like photosynthesis students are supported and inspired to do whatever it takes to succeed especially in the face of temporary defeat!
Far Hills Country Day empowers students with the morality, academic excellence, and resilience not only in the classroom but through adventure trips, international study aboard opportunities, and community service intiatives!
I was a student there and it was awful more than a few teachers were not engaged and didn't know how to teach. When you walk through the halls on a tour its all a show they give us warnings before visitors come and tell us to come up to you; its an act no one is that nice when visitors aren't around. Everything at FHCDS is about money and how they can get more. I was a student and saw it first hand. if you are considering a place to go don't get sucked in by the fake show that FHCDS puts on when you go on a tour! It is all fake. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! The board is hand picked and gets nothing done. It has the right idea and can talk the talk but trust me, it cant walk the walk.
The school has five pillars that the students live by; respect, responsibility, honesty, leadership and kindness. Students know this from the primary school all the way through middle school. A Far Hills student is the schools best advertisement, walk through the halls and you will see for yourself. It's an amazing journey.
Far Hills has always developed the individual child and creates an environment that promotes the joy of learning. My children love being here and the teachers are outstanding! This is an amazing environment where children flourish.
Mr. Woelper has done a terrific job as head of school leading this community through academic excellence and character building. The balance is hard to achieve, but Far Hills understands how important this dynamic duo is for children. Thank you for getting it right!
