I went to this school as a student. I think this school is completely overrated. The academic standards are average at best, nothing exemplary. The administration, personally in my view needs to learn to solve discipline problems more appropriately. This school, needs a lot of work. It has the potential to be a great school if the right administrators were in charge. They need to ramp up the academic standards, (you do this by focusing on ACADEMICS, not discipline for every little thing) and less SPORTS TALK in the CLASSROOM. All in all, not a very good school at all. You better think twice before you send your child here, or trust me you might be wishing you didn't.

I am going into the 8th grade during the 2009-2010 school year at Howell Township Middle School North. This school has great teachers, a lot of extra-curricular activities and sports, and a good enviroment. This is a good school to attend.

My daughter attended a private middle school for 1/2 year and I brought her back to HMSN the school and staff are great and their academics and sports program for the kids are awesome.

My sixth-grader, who has down symdrome, attends HMSN, after attending Ardena Elementary for three years. I cannot say enough about the academic excellence of the learning environment, and the professional excellence exhibited by the school staff, from teachers and aids, to guidance counselors, to the office administration. Although our family is directly involved with the special education program, we have had the opportunity to observe and interact with regular staff also, and would compare HMSN favorably with any private or public school we have ever encountered. HMSN reflects the attitude of our local Howell Township administration, which puts family quality of life issues, including education, at the forefront of issues to be addressed.
